UPDATE ON VIRTUOUS LIVING

Hi my friends,
You may notice that I have added a new part to our study.
I grew up memorizing Scripture. Not all had the privilege of having parents who taught the scriptures from a child.
So I am adding the section of a memory verse--one of the verses from the Advent Scriptures that may or may not be from the primary source. I will try to find an uplifting one, and one that is easier to learn. I will use the same verse for the week. So you have several days to work on one. But that will mean in 52 weeks, you will have memorized 52 verses!
How to learn a verse?
Copy it to your phone, a 3x5 card, a planner or whatever works for you.
Hand write it at least once -- the tactile aspect of writing helps the memorization centers and uses another sense.
Say it aloud at least five times in a day or better, 5 x each time you read it.
Break it down into phrases. Try reading/saying the last phrase 5x and then do the same for each phrase.
Then put two phrases together and say them 5x. Then three phrases, and so on until all of the phrases are added together.
Don't forget to bookend the memorization with the location: Book chapter verse. so you know where the memorized verse is located.
Read it when you start your day. Read it 3x a day. Practice saying it to your mirror.
This will enhance your meditation--as David said,...meditating on the law day and night.
Good memorizing (this also helps brain activity, too. prevents aging and deterioration)
Blessings,
ChapLynne
