Now that I have finally reached the Olympic bars, I just hope to...
    1) Get my bench press, overhead press, and barbell row to go higher than the empty bar.
    2) Not gain any weight during my one week vacation.
    3) Bring down my body fat percentage!

    Yay!

I'm one month into SL and I frequently read through this group's discussion board for inspiration/advice. You ladies rock! Love picking heavy s#!t up and putting it back down.

    December goals include:
    1) Squat my bodyweight (155 lbs)
    2) Benchpress 55 lbs, 5X5 (so weak; only just managed this week to go 3x5 with empty barbell)
    3) Continue building my badass self.

Hello everyone, i'm Meghan. I am new to the group....( i didn't see an introduce yourself thread so i figured i'd do it here )

I very recently invested in some weights & a squat rack in my basement and started the Stronglifts 5x5 program. It has only been about 2 weeks and so far i am progressing well but i started at much lighter weight than i thought i'd be able to handle. I really hope to improve my squats & deadlifts this month as I am nowhere near lifting my body-weight for either. I'm under the impression that this is considered weak/below average so i want to change that!
  • Hi everyone !

I am new to weight lifting (5 months) and was looking for a nice women's community to join.
English is not my first language but i'll do my best to communicate with you guys.

Soooo, i do the big powerlifting 3 to evantually get into competition. (in 6 months)

    For now, at 5/5
Squats are at 235 (1,5 my body weight)
Deadlift at 275 (will try 1 rep for 300 soonish)
Benchpress at 105 (really, really hard)

Also did my first sets of DEAD HANG CHIN UP. 2/5
    Really proud of that! ^^

Since i hurted myself earlier in the month (not training related), my goal for december is to

    1. Get well
    2. Start lifting again soon (i am NOT USED to be indoors and not training, i kinda feel crazy)
    3. Not to gain too much fat in the next 2 weeks,

Next month goal: lose 5 pounds of fat. Gain 2 pounds of muscle.

Oh yeah, and also, i practice a martial art named Canne de Combat (like fencing but way more badass).

Hope you guys reach your goals for december.

    :)
