Concerns and Issues for Prayer

We haven't had a simple place where people could post a prayer request. So we've decided to create this thread. If you would like to share, or ask for a special request, please post it here. This way, we can keep them all in one location and follow up when they are answered.
Do know: we have a small group of prayer warriors that pray specifically for private requests that you may not wish to post publicly, because some things are best kept out of the public's eye.
If you have a private request, PM me and I will pass them along to our team of prayer warriors. We have already seen wonderful answers to prayers from the prayers our team has lifted up...so if you are not sure about prayer or how to pray, let us know and we'll take it up for you. Many are not sure how to pray. Even the disciples asked Jesus about prayer. Hence we have the Lord's Prayer.
Matthew 6:9-13
King James Version (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

EDITED: I like to pray from a list that is easy to read. You may find my tip helpful for you. When I see someone has posted I copy and paste into a Word document (or any word processing program you have, like the free Open Office)
I copy the name and what they say. I paste it into my PRAYER LIST doc. Then, I go to Word's INSERT and DATE and TIME and paste the date e.g. Saturday, January 4, 2014, so I have a list with the name, the information and the date of request.
This is not a must for you. I have found it useful for me when I pray, so I share it.

Prayers needed for me to stay focused and motivated. I have started exercising lately; but I am really struggling to stay with it. I really need prayers to keep myself on track. Thanks for this chance to ask for prayers! I think it would be great too if we posted our testimonies as prayers are answered. I truly believe testimonies are powerful tools to uplift our spirits and strengthen our faith!0

My friend Trudys grandaugher is 5 months old and has pnemonia and a virus. She is in the Hershey Medical Center. Her name is Avery. We now found out that all of her stomach organs are on the wrong side of her body. She is an adorable baby who has been suffering acid reflux and her mom was insistant enough to persue this to find out what is wrong. Also during sonograms in utero they said her stomach was not growing. This could be the possible reason. Prayers are appreciated.
Also for myself for personal reasons, but I know that Chaplain Lynne always prays for us all. She gives me such comfort through the prayers and the knowledge of our Savior that she has.

I say the Lords Prayer each day upon rising, also thank God for bringing me through to see another day, and have added the song Holy Holy Holy as praise. I started to say the Lords Prayer last year and did so for 365 days. That is a great idea. A lady whom I went to church with said if you are ever so down that you cannot pray, say the Lords prayer as it encompasses everything. I have had to do that at times.
Thank you Chaplain Lynne. I enjoy mfp for the input you give us. You are so talented that you should be working somewhere in a church. But I am sure that God has you right where he wants you.0 -

My husband and I have some major financial and work issues to deal with. We are in transition. I won't post it all here, but I covet your prayers that all our actions and choices are pleasing to God and bring him glory.

Thank you for the prayers ladies.
I had to take a hiatus for a couple months due to health reasons. After I lost the baby over the summer, I got pregnant in September and hemorrhaged a couple times. To avoid losing either me or the baby, I was put on strict bed rest for nearly 6 weeks, and just got the okay a week ago to go back to normal activity and exercise. I'm happy to feel normal.
I just had my 20 week appointment today, and praise God, boy #3 is perfectly healthy and the area of the placenta that had bled has healed.
If I were to ask for prayer I would ask that you would kindly pray for mine and baby's continued good health and that I can still keep up on here.0 -
I have a Prayer Request. Please pray for Lorenzo (my bf) because he is searching for employment too right now. Lorenzo is jobless and it is very hard on him. Praise Report is he has an interview tomorrow with Frontline at 3:15pm. And Lorenzo has an interview on January 22nd for HVAC.
Please pray for me because I have my interview tomorrow at 2:10 pm. I am just trusting in God to prepare me for this interview coming up. The great news there multiple positions with Dept. of Consumer Affairs for SSA position I applied for.
Please pray for us to trust God and follow His will.

I heard exercise defined as something people do from January 1-January 15th. LOL --

I am so sorry for your loss of the baby. I am praying for your unborn skn. Akso for you and your other family members. You are such a blessing to us. The main reason i come onto fitness pal is to read the daily inspiration.0

Update. Baby Avery is now 6 months old. She is in the childrens hosp in Philly. There will be no operation surgeons believe she can live just as she is. She may come home with no feeding tube. She is growing and thriving. Thank you all for your prayers. God can do anything and is greatly to be praised.0

What you are seeing here is a very large hive on back of my daughter's thigh. She has suffered with allergies like this since she was six! This is a recent breakout. They spread to all parts of her body; even in her scalp and eyelids. We've been to scores of dr.'s, allergists; she's been in and out of ER... I would just ask you all to pray for her to be delivered of this terrible allergy. She's been tested, poked and prodded. Charla is 32 now and told me tearfully, "Mom, I can't live with these. I can't live like this anymore." It breaks my heart. No dr has been able to come up with a definitive answer as to what brings these on. Please, please pray for her to be delivered of these for good!!!0 -

Praise Report is he had an interview on January 22nd for HVAC went well. The HVAC Co that he went to the interview on 1/22/14 had call him for 2nd interview at 8am tomorrow.

If there is something needing prayer, even if it is a simple "friend" or "issues" -- Know that God knows, so as we lift up you, God will know what we are referring to.

My sister-in-law just notified me my brother-in-law, Russ, has been admitted to the hospital in Parker Colorado with a suspicion of Pancreatitis.
Please add him to your daily prayers.

Would you all pray for my finances?Got a disconnection notice on my door yesterday.I need $451 by March 12! Rent and all the other bills are behind as well.I owe my bank account back b/c I keep relying on my overdraft protection and writing checks for groceries(they took away our food stamps and it's really hurting us).Praying our income tax return comes in really soon so I can get stuff caught up finally.I need direction though(and a miracle) in case that doesn't come through this week.0

I just heard from cdgirl about her mom: Please pray for Amanda's mom-Sandy- and Amanda through this time:
I just want to ask you and the other group members to pray for my mom.Her name is Sandy.She called me today and said that she received a call from her doctor concerning a mammogram she recently did and they saw a spot that concerns them in her right breast.She is due to go back for a spot mammogram and ultrasound on August 18th. Please pray that all is okay and for God's healing touch.Thank you and God Bless!
