Is anyone able to share their stories of how they finally got motivated, because each month that passes that I don`t have a child I fall into a deeper depression, and I don`t know how to come back from it.

Thanks,

I'm really sorry you're having a tough time of it. :(

I definitely have really awful days too, where I just want to give up and I could spend hours crying. I gave myself a good long break over Christmas (didn't stop "trying" to have a baby in the fun way, but stopped logging food, check ovulation symptoms, tracking cycle days etc) and it was so nice not to think about it for awhile and just enjoy the holiday. That really re-energized me. Also now I know that my doctor said I could come back and see her in February if I wasn't pregnant by then, so I'm looking forward to that and hoping I'll get fertility meds, or a referral to an endo.

But if you're really down, the best thing I could recommend is taking a break. Take a month off. Take a few months off if you need. (I mean still take any meds you're on but just stop tracking, counting, testing, etc). Stress is one of the WORST things for ovulation. Do whatever you can to no think about it and not stress for awhile. Keep yourself very busy, see your friends, have FUN!
  • It took me 2 yrs to have our first child - we had been trying for for 4 yrs with no luck before I was diagnosed with PCOS - I had 2 bk to bk miscarriages and part of me wanted to say f it but I didn't give up - I seemed to miscarry with clomid so we tried the injections - that can be tricky cause you can get hyper stimulated ovaries which produce too many eggs so u skip that cycle and try to figure out the correct dosage of meds - I did the hcg shot and IUI -- both of my kids started as triplets - one twin never developed and I lost their twin early on in the pregnancies- the wait was worth it - now you have time to get your body ready - diet , excercise, insulin levels down and see what's the best option for you

I have both PCOS and Endometrosis plus being overweight didn't help. I had to do my own research and found a doctor that understood those things. I used clomid and a shot to get prego and have my son. It was a very stressful and emotional journey but well worth it. My husband was very supportive but I dont think he realized how emotional it was for me. Talk with your doctor and ensure they listen to you.
PS It's ok to cry:) I can't tell you how many days I sat in my co-workers cube crying my eyes out. It helped to talk about it and let it out.
