Does anyone have a running "coach" or buddy, that they can text for support and advice and to provide the same back to that person? I think that would be pretty neat.

Are you talking like an App? or just a running friend. I water cooler talk with my running co-workers all the time.0

I do...but it's just a friend of mine who runs a lot. She lives in a different city, but we text each other after most runs to talk about it and get support and motivation! She is super knowledgeable, so it's definitely more of a benefit for me than for her, but it's a really neat excuse to stay in touch.0

I do, and he is a star - even while I'm not running due to injury - better still via Garmin connect for full and detailed analysis
it's a massive help, and he in turn has one that he has to pay for who also seems quite amazing
I find it very encouraging and there's the element of accountability too where you know someone will be in touch in a day or two to ask how the last run went0 -
Thanks for your answers....yes more an actual person; texting back and forth. I don't like to run with an iphone etc. so most apps are out for me. I have a Garmin that is over 10 years old..but just cant bring myself to spend bucks on a new one. Plus, who doesn't want to play "Pong" on your wrist at mile 19!
I have a really experienced running friend who is my part-time text buddy but he is super busy, would be cool to find someone in my own running realm...a 1:58 half marathoner, training up for the big dance.0
