We have no idea where to go on our honeymoon. We would like to stay in the US. I like the idea of tropical, but neither of us are really swimmers, so we're not even certain of tropical. Any ideas? I've got nothin', lol.

The US is so close to great destinations! If I was there we'd be doing Costa Rica (but that's obviously not in the US!) you can do lots of tours around the rainforests etc & beach days too.

Also I really liked Riviera Maya near Cancun in Mexico. Lots to do or can laze if you like and lots of hotels are All Inclusive.

My friend has been raving about Hawaii so if you really do want to stay closer to home might be worth a look (I swear by trip advisor)

As for US itself been to loads of amazing places but never really anywhere 'beachy' so I'm a bit useless if that's really what you're after!

    Good luck planning :-)

The US has tons of hidden vacation spots! I went to Puerto Rico recently for work and it was pretty tropical, like Costa Rica you can do day tours, explore the rainforest and also go to the beach. Even better, you don't need a passport since it is a US territory. There are also places like Southern California, Florida and depending on the time of the year the Outer Banks of North Carolina can be very nice too! There is also Hawaii

My fiance and I are not big beach people so we are going to the mountains for our honeymoon, it's something that we have both wanted to do for a long time and have never been able to go so all the more reason.

    Good luck!

Have you been to the Grand Canyon or Niagara Falls? Both are beautiful. Also, California has great wine tours if you like that.

I think we are skipping a honeymoon, or at the least postponing. My fiance will be in school in October, so we can't take a honeymoon without him missing classes..
