This is actually pretty awesome.

This is how they actually do it in the upper peninsula of Michigan. it is the only way to clear the 275-300+ inches of snow every year. They do the same thing in the spring to suck up and reuse all the sand they put down on the roads after the snow melts off. Before that it is like a beach on top of the road.
