When you fill out your profile information it asks you to list a few of your inspirations. This topic is here to give you the opportunity to share a little more.

When did you decide to get serious about getting to where you want to be? Why then?

What are some things in your life that motivate you to keep pushing yourself to achieve the goals you've set?

My kids are my inspirations and also the wonderful success stories I see here..there is a wonderful community and everyone has seemed very welcoming...I came here because i need to lose some serious weight for my health..I want to live a long life and see my kids grow...I want to be able to wear a bathing suit for once and go swimming with my kids...this weight has stopped me from so much so it is time to get rid of it and have some fun....
  • For me, it's a number of things. Probably the main thing would be losing weight for a healthier lifestyle. I was born with a heart defect, which isn't really a problem while I'm still young, as I have medication. That being said, losing the excess weight would benefit me greatly as I get older...And as we all know, it takes much longer dropping weight than it does putting it on.

Right now I have high blood pressure as well, which I want to put right before it starts becoming a major problem. I guess for me it's a "Get fit now or you'll never do it" kinda thing. I'm looking forward to the other benefits as well... Shopping for clothes that aren't sold out in my size, looking forward to swimsuits in the summer, that kind of thing.

With such a great community on MFP, I'm sure we'll all get to where we're aiming for. People here are very supportive. :)

because its time for me to learn to eat to live, and not live to eat. I am also here to learn the meaning of "tough times dont last tough people do", and I have yet to prove that to myself and take charge of my life, and not let my life take charge of me! and reap the benefits of success!
