Hello, I'm Ali and I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my 3rd little man, due the 28th May.
I'm currently suffering with PGP/SPD after deciding that I was invincible and that moving heavy furniture was a good idea…….it wasn't.
I'm trying to keep my weight gain healthy with this pregnancy as I started off a stone heavier than pre pregnancy with my 2nd child. I tended to go a day grazing on food and then getting to the end of the day and not being able to remember what I'd eaten. I'm loving logging my meals and it's definitely giving me ideas for when I've finished breastfeeding this little sproglet and want to focus on losing the extra lbs.
Anyway….hello *waves*

Oh my heck!
I had to google PGP/SPD because I had no idea what that meant as I had never heard the term before.
I am so glad I read that and will be certain I talk to my doctor about it next appointment. I have been having every one of those symptoms and have been feeling so confused as to what on earth it could be.
How have you dealt with the pain? Have you been able to ease the pain at all?0 -
Hi! My niece is currently suffering from SPD with her pregnancy and it sounds awful! I am also 26 weeks along. Welcome aboard :flowerforyou:0

I'm "coping" by just keeping going. Unfortunately there's nothing more than paracetamol and a pelvic support band, plus regular physio that can do anything. If it gets really bad then you might have to use crutches, so I'm hoping it doesn't get to that point.
I've been told to take it easy….erm with a 6 year old and a 21 month old, that's not really an option.
If the pain is more than I can cope with then I have been a sofa hermit, but mostly I can just about function, and sometimes actually can carry on almost like normal.
Definitely have it checked out tiggerhammon. In the UK your doctor will refer you to a physio and then they take it from there, trying to realign your pelvis or at least minimise the damage. They say that as soon as you give birth the pain stops almost completely and you can walk normally.
It's an excuse for my husband to "have" to fetch me tea though.0 -
I hear you on the keeping the weight gain to a healthy amount this time! With my first I gained 23 lbs, my second I went crazy and gained 46 lbs (totally my fault, I just kept shoveling Oreos in my face along with everything else), so this time around I'm determined not to get out of hand.
So sorry you're in so much pain! With a little one I can't imagine not being able to be as mobile! I hope you can keep the pain to a minimum and get help!0 -
I want to stuff my face with steak. It's a wonderful craving but not really financially suitable! haha!0

LOL. Can you buy some in bulk and make them at home? Maybe that'll be a bit cheaper?
I'd eat donuts all day if I could. Well, I can, but I don't want to end up how I did last time, and by Monday I should know if I'm diabetic or not and whether or not I can even occasionally indulge in them. As soon as my husband woke up this morning I was telling him Sunday we're eating donuts for breakfast! It's all I can think about.0
