Signing up for fun!! Might just qualify for the neck thingy prize draw, maybe even the next thing up - who knows!0
-
that's what I thought to be honest Fran, there's lots of people on here that are riding enough to get into some if not all of the prize draws, and frankly, why the hell not share the chances0
-
Just signed up. Not like I needed another excuse to get out though.0

Well, for those of us that are having a crack at the MFP Classics Challenge, it's sort of a no-brainer really, I mean, based on last years rides, I'd have had nearly half the distance knocked in on the race days themselves, not to mention any of the other 40-odd other days inbetween.
Not that I'm expecting to be riding at quite the same degree of lunacy as I did last year... Some of the days I really should have taken the easy option - the day where I carried the MTB half a mile until I found a road snow free enough to actually ride for a couple of km's springs to mind.
Scarier still, is the fact that last years Strade Bianche was the first "proper" ride I did on the Dolan... Scary to think the bike is nearly a year old really.0 -

Wow, that is scary - I remember its first tentative inaugural ride, then some TBY style tweaking and then the proper ride!! How is that a year ago????0 -
yep, it's 50 weeks and 7597km old (and it's been off the road since october iirc)
Scarier still, is the CaadX has had over 2,000km under it's wheels so far!0 -

Thanks for the share, def a no brainier to add your name in this.
ooo I'm 310th on the leaderboard lol .... wow the UK is leading the country board too! ... so proud0 -
Currently 247th (with an anchor) after losing 2 days to parcel-stress... Might have to go out for a few hours today and see if I can creep up the table a little...0
-
Having a low key week this week, legs have only just recovered from the weekend! I have a few small commutes to upload to strava, not much for the week but every km counts ....0
-
That's a bit better... up to 144th and nearly 2/3 of the way through the Primavera. Lets see what tomorrow brings0
-
And todays ride puts me at 113th with 260.4km completed - by my reckoning, that's just coming out of Marina di Andora and heading for Cervo - if Only...
ETA: Sunday afternoon and I've now finished the Primavera, and 83.6 km into Gent Wevelghem... so probably somewhere near Veurne - maybe I should go for a play on the 'crosser in the sand-dunes at Koksijde...0 -
Thread BumpYou're currently in 204th place (out of 1053) having completed 3 of the races. 845.1 km ridden (47.8%) with 6,756 m of climbing in 16 rides.
so, 47.8% complete, in 45% of the timescale - still just about on target then :drinker:0 -
currently in 265th place (out of 1080) having completed 3 of the races. 793.7 km ridden (44.9%) with 9,193 m of climbing in 34 rides
Doing some catchup this week, see you in Roubaix0 -
I'm currently in 241st place (out of 1122) having completed 4 of the races. 1,064.7 km ridden (60.3%) with 8,772 m of climbing in 21 rides.
So, 60.3% in distance, and 59% time elapsed. It's looking like it might be a close run thing... especially as it's slashing it down all day today :-(0 -
currently in 333rd place (out of 1130) having completed 3 of the races. 857.3 km ridden (48.5%) with 9,918 m of climbing in 36 rides - 63% of time elapsed ... so I'm well behind now and have a mountain to climb but hoping to put in some decent miles over the next three days and try and hit it next week0
-
39.6km remaining before Sunday - that's 5km past the Côte de La Redoute and heading for the Côte des Forges. Don't want to jinx things, but I'm feeling reasonably confident. Although, in 249th place - to quote Sean "I've not made the selection..." :laugh:You're currently in 249th place (out of 1268) having completed 6 of the races. 1,727.5 km ridden (97.8%) with 14,211 m of climbing in 33 rides.0
-
well - after todays ride, I have some news...You're currently in 241st place (out of 1268) having completed all of the races. 1,770.5 km ridden (100.2%) with 14,664 m of climbing in 34 rides.0
-
And my final "line in the sand" - including sunday's ride...You're currently in 254th place (out of 1290) having completed all of the races. 1,893.1 km ridden (107.1%) with 15,470 m of climbing in 36 rides.
so, I guess i'm in the draw for all 7 prizes. Not holding my breath TBH, and i've a sneaking suspicion that most of the latter prizes won't fit me anyway... they look like they're cut/styles for skinny-*kitten* hipsters tbh.0 -
281st place (out of 1292) having completed all of the races. 1,797.8 km ridden (101.7%) with 20,535 m of climbing in 65 rides, pretty happy to have finished considering I was out of action for a week with a crappy Asthma attack,
Only 293 people completed the challenge no not bad odds for the final draw! Had to laugh at the fellow who finished on 99.9%0 -
that was great going mate, with a week off the bike for the Asthma.
so there's nearly a 1:147 chance that one of us may get the jacket then...0 -
And as a by-product, it seems I can BUY an overpriced T-Shirt as well...
