Oh no! back to bad habits

Ive been a terrible fitness pal the last couple of months!
Life has gotten crazy busy, which is great, but unfortunately career focus has pushed my health focus far from sight. Stress makes my sweet tooth grow into sugar craving fangs, and workouts have gotten totally down prioritized. Or maybe its the pregnancy hormones. Whatever my excuse is, there is this candy floss werewolf inside me that demands sweets and junk constantly.
Ive totally given in to my old, bad unhealthy habits again, and the scale is proof. (+28 lbs so far....)Darn!
Doctor, husband says just to relax. Its not so bad I and can loose the weight again when baby is born. Which is totally true. I just feel so bad for the baby. Like I'm conditioning her to my stress and bad eating habits in her first months of existence.
Need to get back on track somehow yet still get all these other things accomplished. Please, anyone can give me some good advice or rude inspiring kicks in the *kitten*? Or are there anyone out there in similar boats? I'm so frustrated and embarrassed..

Aw! I'm sorry you're feeling down about things and turning to food. I know my sweet tooth goes into overdrive as soon as there's stress, happiness, or sadness. It's the answer to everything. With my second I went crazy with the food. I gained 46 lbs. Some damage is already done (28 lbs) don't beat yourself up, move on! Dust yourself off and try to eat better. You can totally lose the weight after. I lost 59 lbs after my daughter before I got pregnant again (when she was 9 months old). It can happen.

For my first I had to count carbs (Gestational Diabetes). It really helped me keep the junk food down and the weight gain to a minimum. My carb goals were Breakfast: 15-30g, Snack 15-30g, Lunch 30-45g, Snack 15-30g, Dinner 30-45g, Snack 15-30g. I still got to eat often and a lot but by counting carbs I had to give up a lot of things - like my 1 Pepsi a day. Couldn't snack on all the Oreos all day like I did with my daughter (a pack every 2-3 days helped me gain those 46 lbs). Couldn't eat a box full of Cheezits. It's amazing what sounds like a good snack between meals! Maybe try that?

Best of Luck and don't give yourself a bad time. If the worst you do during your pregnancy is indulge in some food cravings then I think your baby will be lucky.

Thats sweet! And its right. Thank you for putting it in perspective for me Chelsea. I felt so terrible about my eating yesterday. It helped to "confess" here, even to myself.
Today is a new day. Bye discounted valentines candy! (that tastes like crap anyway) hello carrots:)

Man this is how I feel today too! I had hardly gained any weight (but I'm overweight to begin with) and I'm 26 weeks. Went in today and bam I'm up like six pounds from last week! My blood sugar is also wonky so I was instructed to steer clear of sweets and limit carbs. Good thing I got my cupcake fix at my son's birthday party last weekend. I've been really carb heavy this week and I can feel the water retention in my face, etc.
