I've been listening to them a bit and kind of digging them.... then I find out their singer appears semi-regularly on a Fox News show. I'm not sure if I can deal with that.

Metal bands should only appear on Fox news to troll the life out of the place!

    Like Andrew WK!

Anyone hear about Skinny Puppy invoicing the US government because they found out their music was being used for torture at Guantanamo Bay? Not sure if I think that response is weak or awesome; I know Metallica sent a cease and desist when they found out the same.

Being a a mostly ranging liberal, I find that bands tend to rarely stray much right of center, so its rare that I need to consider whether or not I dislike the political/religious views of the members. Megadeth is the biggest example of a band where I completely disagree with on a personal level, but I still can enjoy their music because Mustaine didn't used to be quite so intolerable until he busted up his arm in the early 2000s.

Like TMLPatrick, if I find that a band's political leanings are completely opposed to mine, I will happily delete them from my playlist. So far, Megadeth, Ted Nugent and Meatloaf are persona non-grata on my I-Pod.

While Alice Cooper is a born-again Christian, he tends to keep his private views out of his on-stage performance.

This is mainly what I ask for, I listen to you for your music, not for your political insight. Even if an artist shares the same political view as mine, I might think it's cool for a second, but mainly I want you to shut the **** up and play the next song.
