Juice fast in February 2014

Hi everyone!
I am looking to start a juice fast in Feb and wanted to know if anyone wanted to do it around the same time for support and motivation. I am thinking of doing a 3 or 5 day fast as more of a detox since it's been a while since my last juice fast. I will probably start the second week of Feb since I am waiting for my juicer to get here. Any takers, let me know

My juicer arrived during the weekend so I have decided to do my 5 day fast this week. The last time I did a juice fast was July 2013 which I did for a month, and I have to admit that I have tried to do a few small fasts after that without much luck. So I have made 2014 the year where anything goes!! I will give it my all to accomplish my goals of juicing at least 1 week a month which I know will benefit my health and help me reach my weight loss goals. I have decided to keep posting my progress on this thread to keep me accountable.0

I started one on Sunday, and plan to break the fast on Saturday. Dealing with a detox headache at the moment, that I'm hoping will go away by tomorrow0

Hey everyone well today I am on day 2. I was supposed to start on Monday but was having some technical difficulties with my juicer. Thankfully my bf was able to get it fixed Monday night, so was able to start yesterday (tues).
I have decided to keep track of my weightloss in this 5 day fast.
SW 163.4
Day2 159.6
I have modified this week's fast in the fact that although I will be juicing all day I have decided to keep my cup of coffee in the mornings.
I also wanted to share that Day 1 was kinda hard but bearable...but what really has got me kinda down is that we have having crazy weather and so yesterday afternoon and this morning I have symptoms of a cold with the whole sneezing and stuffy/runny nose. I hope it all passes soon so I can feel better for the rest of the week.0 -

Please keep posting, at least a week after you're done with the juice thing. I think I dropped about 6 lbs or something, over 3 days, but gained about 4 of 'em back, immediately. Hopefully, your cold symptoms disappear quickly, or at least, don't hold you back.0 -
My husband did 27 days juicing and lost 18lbs. I did just juice for 5 days and lost 4 lbs. Most of the time we are now both doing one meal a day and juice the rest of the day. I have stopped loosing, but have not gained. My husband is still loosing, just slower. On Saturday's we have a "free day" we can eat whatever we want. The past 2 Saturdays, we still juiced and had a healthy dinner - the cravings are just not there anymore. (well, most of the time. )
We are planning to do another boost next week just for 3 days or so. We both feel good and have more energy.0 -
Well I have to admit that this week didn't go through as planned. On wednesday afternoon (day 2) I felt just horrible. The cold that I had got the best of me... I even had to leave early from work because I had a massive headache, I was sore all over, a fever ...and the list goes on. And the worst part was that I just felt hungry and lazy. So I decided to just break the fast until I felt better. I ate a lot of soups but I did also give in to comfort food as well. =/
I have to admit I am kinda frustrated and disappointed at myself. Like I had mentioned the 1st time I did a juice fast I was able to last a MONTH, and now I can't seem to hold on for 5 days! But I am trying not to let it get in my head too much, life isn't perfect and making changes to a healthy lifestyle doesn't happen overnight especially when I'v had bad eating habits for years.
So I am starting over again today and just taking it as far as I can go. I will initially try to do it for just 3 days and see if I can make it 2 more. I mean because I already spent all that money in fruits and veggies so I might as well finish what I started.

I was wondering with the cold symptoms how you'd do. I just got a cold, and I immediately seem to lose the taste for all the vegetables I normally eat... and go straight to carbs.0 -
Hey. This is day 50 for me. I have a tea in the morning w bee pollen and raw honey. Then water or juice during the day. The a green powder drink and water and tea for lunch while at work. Then more water or juice. Then a tea w more pollen and raw honey at night. I was taking a laxative tea until day 40 now I'm doing parastroy through day 60 then I will be adding a probiotic. Lots of work but well worth it. I feel myself getting healthier by the moment. How is everyone's juices going?0

That's a long time.... from your ticker, you're only around 20 lbs from goal? How many calories are you taking in per day, may I ask?0
