TDEE

Options
So according to the TDEE calculator, I have 2163 calories. After eating 1200 or less calories, I'm wondering if this is accurate and what I should do. Thanks!

Here's what I figured out Emily. Hopefully this will help you. Actually I hope it helps me too

    BMR Formula:
    655 + (4.35 x weight in lbs) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years) = BMR

    TDEE Formula:
    BMR x 1.375 (1-3 days of exercise)
    BMR x 1.550 (3-5 days of exercise)
    BMR x 1.725 (6-7 days of exercise)

Now to figure out goal cals:
TDEE - 1000 (to lose 2lbs per week)
TDEE - 750 (to lose 1.5 lbs per week)
TDEE - 500 (to lose 1 lb per week)

    Here's my math:
    My BMR is 1845.
    1845 x 1.550 (3-5 days of exercise) = 2859 (my TDEE)
2859 - 1000 (to lose 2 lbs per week) = 1859 as my goal calories per week.

I don't like using the calculators because each one gives me a different number. So I researched the formula so I can figure out the numbers myself.

For me, I don't know how I'm going to consume 1859 cals per day. So I reset my MF goal to 1700. Since the TDEE already accounts for your workout, there is no need to worry about eating your workout cals back.

I started this today. Keeping my fingers crossed!

My TDEE came up as 2,335. I subtracted it by 750 and it gave me the number of 1584.99 which is 1585 basically. My number is set to 1437 right now. I don't know if I should leave it at 1437 or up it to 1585. All these numbers confuse me on MFP. LOL

Mine is 1845, but Idk how the hell I can consume so many cals in 1 day. I mean I can, but not the healthy way
So I set mine to 1700. I started this a few days ago. So I'll see how it works by the time I weigh in on Sunday!

Recalculated mine since the new gain because I HAVE to do something.
Right now it's equaling 1578, which I freaked out about. But then I remembered that it counts in workout calories, so maybe 1578 is doable. And if I don't get there some days, it's not like it's the end of the world.

Haha...mine is so high only because I'm breastfeeding. I try to consume 1800-2000 calories a day. The more I exercise the harder it is to eat a lot so I've cut back some. To think, when I started mfp I was actually starving at the end of 2000 calories. I must have been taking in 2500-2700 a day!!! Yikes. Of course there are still some days that i worry that I'll always want to eat that much! Hopefully my appetite will go back to normal one day. :)
