Hey everybody, I hope there are still a few of you around. I am seriously considering joining the coast guard and just wanted to get a little info about it. Mainly how you like it, how was bootcamp, would you do it again? Thanks!

    Coast Guard is the way to go. I love the Coast Guard. As far as boot camp, check out the web series on Youtube, that will tell you everything you want to know.

    My husband is active duty CG. He attended the Academy, was on a boat for a tour, completed a tour at headquarters, went through flight school, and is now on his second tour as a pilot. If you have any specific questions, I can try to answer them or ask my husband.

    Thank you for the advice! I think my plan will be to wait 6 months or so and get in the best shape that I can. I've that makes the bootcamp experience a little easier.
