so as some of you may know i am doing the lean phase in x3. I gained 4 lbs over new years and hoped it woudl of came off before i started x3 2 weeks later. Well it didn't, and i have kept it on .....it's been almost 2 months and can't get it off. So since i haven't lost weight on x3 yet and all my measurements are the same, do you think that some might be muscle? will one gain muscle on the lean phase? I know if i was doing classic i would believe it but lean? not sure why else i wouldn't be able to take these 4 lbs off? it takes me over my max comfort zone for weight...

How long have you been doing X3? You said you mentioned two months but didn't say how much of that included X3. Most people are saying that they are not seeing measurable results until blocks 2 and 3. How has your nutrition been?

well i gained 4 lbs on vacation over new years, when i got home ( jan 8th) i went right back to my normal eating and routine. I started x3 2 weeks ( jan 25th). I re did week 3 as i had a mini vacation stop me from doing it for 3 days, so i re did that week. I started block 2 yesterday. I am still 4 lbs up and it is now march 2. I took my pics yesterday and had no changes.... SO block 2 i switched from lean to classic.. i hope this month i will see better results although on the 21st i go on a week vacation to mexico.... so another disturbance in my program.. i will try my best to eat well on vacation and still get some exercise in even if it's not x3... and re do a week when i get back, if not 2 depending if i gain on vacation, lol

my nutrition has been fine, my normal eating that i always do.. nothing different at all. \I am trying to get more protein in me which i am a bit low on most days...i also am trying to reduce my carbs a bit and keep them at my goal but i have a hard time with that. eg0 yesterday i had 132 grams of carbs out of my 150 imit it was all fruit, veggies, cheese and yogurt.. not even a starch or anything... so dinner put me over, as usual...

I think it is a good decision. Classic is always good bet, one of the test group coach said on bb website that all test group people did the classic. I think lean is good for people who need a lot to lose. Based on your pics , you definitely not in that camp.

no i don't really, i could lose max 8 lbs but that is it and i would only want to get there if a program took me there without trying. I hope classic will help give me what i need, i just wish my weight i gained over new years woudl finally come off!

Sounds like diet may be a challenge more than which program you're doing..you sound a little inconsistent? Results are 80% made in the kitchen. Try to hit your calories and macros every day, not some of the days and then whatever program you do, just bring maximum intensity....that said I would go with classic as well. Good luck!

nope have to say my diet is consistent and i eat the same way i have for a long time... i am just trying to lower my carbs but i find it hard with all the healthy items it is bringing me up way more then i thought.... i never watched my carbs before at all during my weight loss, so thought maybe b/c i am so close now to goal i need to in order to lose that last bit of body fat...

I think you are making a good choice with the classic program

I don't know about you but I sure have a hard time eating consistently when I am travelling. Unless you are preparing your foods yourself and not eating out, it is really difficult to know exactly what you are consuming as far as calories and macros.

How many calories are you eating a day? An excess calorie is an excess calorie whether coming from carbs, proteins or fats. Also be careful of eating too few calories. That can undermine your weight loss as well. The nutrition guide is suggesting that everyone eat a minimum of 1,500 a day with different factors adding to that.

ya i am eating 1500. i never have been able to figure out if i am eating too little or too much ever. ive been at this for 2.5 years now and still can't figure it out. I hit plateaus and never know what it was that actually got me out of it... I do have a thyroid disorder but i had my levels tested in jan and all were good. so i can't understand why i can't get these 4 lbs i gained over new years off but after completing month 1 of lean i know why i never got results... not enough resistance/ strength training...

I think this is a great article. I think switching to classic might be a good choice for you. Cardio is great, and those videos are fun, but weight lifting can really boost you to get off that plateau. The more muscle you have = greater metabolism = weightloss.
