I am about 2.5 months in and down 49lbs since my 12/10/13 Surgery. I can tell you it was a tough surgery for me and not sure knowing what I know now I would do it again. But I just had my first post op check in with Doctor and they told me I was doing great, that I stress too much about labels? Really, how do you stress too much? I never use to read them before now before in goes in my mouth I make 100% sure the nutrition value is there for Protein etc. or sorry I am passing. They just turned me on to a quick great protien source for before or after my workouts when I am feeling tired, first do the protien shake but if you are like and have one every morning for breakfast this would not be my first selection, so they said to try beef jerky. I was of course what kind, fat wise and sodium etc. They told me any kind is fine just do in moderation but they are great sources of protien. And yes they are and not as hard on my stomach as I thought they would be. Now I did get the beef soft nuggest from Jack Links but they are really tasty and I enjoy these after the gym if I am feeling a little tired and need some protien. I only have 2 pieces when I need them. As with everything you do not want to override it. Any other suggestions?

I keep the slim Jim minis, wt watchers cojack cheese sticks and emerald 100 cal nut packs at work at all times in case my lunch gets delayed. I also love the Kroger carbmaster skim milk with 11 g of protein and only 60 cal a cup.0

I have been looking for the packets of almonds and was not able to find them so final just got a big bag and weighed them out to ensure I have these in my purse at all times just in case. I am liking the Carbmaster Yogurts I have tried a few, sometimes I have to add a packet of Stevia as so tart. But I agree great protien source. The slim jims are not to high in fat? I have stayed with the Jack Link because they are soft and not so greasey. Thanks for the tips.0

Here are some of my favorite protein snacks:

Tuna mix/chicken salad w/crackers0 -
Thanks so much I do use the Premier Protein every morning as I have such a hard time eating first thing in the morning. I cannot have crackers yet, as no Carbs until I have lost 75% of my total weight per my plan. Which is not as hard as I thought it would be. I mean I have carbs but none from breads, crackers etc. Thanks please everyone keep posting I think this helps us all with tips and hints. Has anyone tried the Power Pak Pudding from Fit & Lean has 100 Calories with 15grams of protien and only 5 carbs.0
