    I am on 1200 a day and it's ok for me. I had planned to increase to 1400 after the first stone but haven't as I'm feeling ok with it. I eat a treat with leftover cals most evenings, it motivates me to be good (I.e. if I eat that now I won't gave enough cals left for a chocolate digestive tonight)

    I am 5ft 2" and on 1200 calories a day it is tough some days but it seems to be working. please feel free to add me

    Day 1 today, I'm 5ft 3" and on 1200 calls a day also, starving just thinking about what I can't have so being positive, I'll pinch some idea's off you guys, we can do it together! Please feel free to add me, hoping for lots of support.

    I'm 5'4" (on tiptoe) and have been on 1200 a day since Christmas. Actually I'm finding it OK, and have learned to love salad! (Never thought I'd say that!) Occasionally I go over, especially if I go to the pub, but I've always been within my calorie goal for the week, so I think that's fine.

    5'10, 279 lbs :* im on 1`200 calories a day, finding it pretty easy and surprisingly not hungry. I still have snacks and can eat more on my workout days :) Happy for FR's from everyone, and would love to snoop diaries for ideas too :)

    5' 1" with about 50lb to loose. Ive been on 1200 since the beginning of March and finding it ok. I still have snacks and eat more on my workout days. I'm walking, walking, walking like it's going out of fashion... :smile:

    Hiya, I'm 29 from the Isle of Man. Currently on 1260cals which I find easy when I do exercise, but do struggle at the weekends, and on non exercise days! Need to be more strict with myself! :)

    Hey Tish, Christy and Emma. Seems like this thread is pretty old but glad there are some people about! Do you mind if I add you? I'm interested to see some other people's diaries to get some ideas. I'm 5ft 3in and on 1200 ish cals a day too.

    Hi, I'm Lee, 25 from London. 5ft 1in and recently (re)started the 1200 cals a day, trying to unlearn years of bad eating habits (portion sizes, skipping meals, over snacking)

    I did this for 5 months am 5 ft 6 so feel your pain. It is doable. I was walking each afternoon a mile or two for my treats. Not logging food at present but am now on 1600ish maintain. Breakfast 30g porridge with water almond milk and fruit keeps you full till 1pm so a good start to day about 230 cals. Lunch ryvita protein fruit ,dinner small portions - this is where is really helped I think. My diary will get going again next week and is open to all

    Hiya, I'm Ruth from Inverness, am 5ft 4 and on about 1200 per day. I managed to lose a stone last year on it then it crept back on again :( am more serious this time and exercising too :)

    Hi, I'm also 5'2" and on around 1200 calories per day, although I'm 48 - don't know if it's my age but the weight is proving hard to shift, I'm aiming for 1lb a week, although to be fair, I've only been logging 5 days, and exercising for 3, so maybe it's too early to say. My diary is open if anyone is interested. I've not got too much to lose, only about 20lbs, but need to get fit too. Anyone can add me if they like.

    5 9 and tryin g to stick to 1200 though I do fail sometimes.....lost 8lbs and have 8/10 to go..hopefully last years summer stuff will then fit again as I tubbed up since September last year :)

    I'm way up North, am 5'4", and whilst I am "allowed" around 1450 at the minute, I'm generally below that after exercise.

    I stayed at 1300 for a while, but couldn't maintain my exercise properly without feeling completely drained afterwards. It's upped to around 1450 now, but I (generally) burn 400-500 calories a day, or that's the plan anyway...

    Hi everyone! :smile: I hope people are still reading this thread!!

    I'm 23, 5'5" and on 1200 calories a day. I lost a stone in January-February of this year with sticking to 1200 calories a day but i've been stuck at the 10 stone mark since then...

    Starting today I'm going to be trying my best to log my food as accruately as possible again and I've started doing exercise classes with my work friends so will be doing about 3 of those a week. Hoping to get to around the 9 stone point whilst also toning up more. Feel free to add me :smile: xx
