Weight Loss Pictures?

Options
Hey guys! I'm really nervous about this journey! I just started about a week ago, but have successfully lost 4.7 lbs! But I'm currently at 397 and want to get down to 200. I'm 6'2 and I really am hoping for a healthier lifestyle! My only issue is I'm afraid of how I will look? I've been a big girl all my life so I'm terrified that if I lose too much at my height I will look really awkward and I don't want to be that. I'll post a current picture and maybe you guys could kinda show me kinda what the height/weight ratio is for tall girls and if you're comfortable about what size you fall into and how soon did you start losing inches??? Thank you so much AHEAD of time!

(This was at 401. So I've never felt I looked 401 so I'm nervous as to how 200 would look, although I know that's about the healthy weight for my 6'2 frame)

Congrats on your loss so far! It's a great idea to keep track of your progress with photos. For me it helped when I was in a (mental) rut. Actually having pictures to compare really opened my eyes.

I am still a work in progress, but here's a link to my weight loss so far:

I don't have any pictures but I am 6'2" and weigh 185 currently. I have been as low as 173 after having 4 children and my lowest before then was 161 when I got married at 19. I would love to go back to that weight... working on it now. Good Luck with your journey. You will look wonderful!

    I'm a size 10, sometimes 12 and I'm 6'0". You will look FABULOUS at 200lbs. I'm at ~180 right now, adding muscle.

    Hey,

I'm a bit shorter than you at 176 cm (around 5'9), but here's me: currently at 69 kilograms, about 153 pounds. I am comfortable with how I look now, but will work more on body strength to change the shape of my body, rather than focussing on just weight loss now. e.g. I want to have awesome arms and shoulders ;)

I think at 200 lb you will look great, and you can always aim for that and then adjust when you get there - if you think you look too thin gain a little, or if you want to try a little more weight loss, keep going before you move into maintenance.

I found that within I would say 2 months of being consistent with exercise and tracking, the weight loss was noticeable to other people and I started getting comments. It's different for everyone though, we lose fat in different parts of our bodies at different rates.

Edited to add: this site is pretty awesome: http://www.mybodygallery.com/ - it lets you look at pics sorted by height and weight and body shape, submitted by other women. It's a great way to get an idea of what you might look like at different weights, by looking at people of a similar height and build.

Have you ever gone to http://www.mybodygallery.com/ ? You can enter different weights/body types for the same height to see how you may look at those weights. I find it motivational since I have a hard time seeing my own weight accurately in the mirror.
