Gaining weight instead of losing?

For the last two months, I have lost weight and inches and then this month, I have apparently hit a bit of a plateau. I maintain my inches, but gain about a half pound a week! I know that when muscles build there is a gain in weight since muscles weigh more than fat, but I don't know quite how to continue losing! I eat healthy, most of my food comes from the outer rim of the grocery aisles (meats, fresh fruits and veggies, no overly processed foods) and I eat 1200-1500 net calories each day. Help?!?

This might sound ridiculous, but try eating more. Increasing your caloric intake can kickstart your metabolism back to losing again. Now, you might see additional gain at first, but it should level off and you should start losing again. Everyone is different, but that's worked for me and a lot of other people on MFP.
