    ETA: But I only wear it when I am training. When I race I wear my normal kit.

    Socks too? I feel like the socks are necessary.

    i actually have no lycra shorts I like. I should probably get some for the race but I may just wear baggies. Not like I can really go any slower...

    I do have similar socks......for deads. But I did wear knee high socks that said BACON for the Dakota Five-O becuase it has a secret bacon and PBR aid station.

    I don't wear baggies just because I get too hot!

    The race is early May. I'm not sure heat will be an issue. It got rained out last year. I should get some Lycra shorts anyway. The only ones I have are too short which is just 'ew on my legs. I wear them anyway (usually when the bike laundry hasn't been done) but I'd prefer something longer.

    I wore longer ones for awhile. But I actually prefer shorter ones. I don't like showing my legs off....but they are more comfortable. The longer ones always rolled and felt weird.

    I don't mind showing off my legs but short lycra = thigh muffin bottom on thick legs.

    Nice! I don't get anyone wearing socks though. I guess I don't care if I have visable grease on my legs.

    Sometimes I wear my socks for warmth!! It is cold up here in the tundra in the morning but by the afternoon I am hot! SO I hate wearing pants/tights.
