I am almost two years postpartum and yet i still have about 15 pounds to lose in my belly. My pre pregnancy jeans all fit and my old shirts fit but my stomach hangs more than it used to i was always overweight and i finally lost it in high school i was at a happy weight still not happy with how i looked but people always told me i had a nice body and i was thin enough. Any was i love my baby girl but i don't love this weight i miss the flat tummy and i wish i could get it back but it feels impossible. I'm still breastfeeding and i am always starving literally I'll eat a big meal get full and an hour later i want more food!!! Seriously I could eat everything in sight a whole bag of chips a tub of ice cream and more I don't know what's wrong with me but I always want more food this is not normal. I know I should be drinking more water and more veggies and fruits but I always crave sweets. Please people helpful tips and ideas. What can I eat to satisfy me and lose weight what exercises are good?

I used to be your same way with sweets! Love them! I started to make changes to what I allowed myself to eat during the week and instead of crackers for a snack (oh, I love cheez-it's) I started eating carrots and hummus and I actually really like it. I also snack on beef jerky and greek yogurt. I found that protein really did surpass my appetite and when I have a Cliff Bar for breakfast (around 8:30) I'm not even hungry until noon.

I know for me, once I start on something "bad" I can't stop! It's never just 1 cookie or a couple chips. So if I don't eat it, I don't crave it.

Good luck, it's hard. But it's a choice. That's something I remind myself constantly. I sometimes choose something naughty, get mad at myself, but just make a better food choice next time. Something that sticks in my head is the last time I tried to lose weight I was in California on vacation and EVERYONE went to In & Out Burger, but I choose to eat something else and to this day, I'm still proud I made that decision and met my weight loss goal for that week and it reminds me that I can do it!

I think I have the biggest sweet tooth known to man! But I lost all the baby weight and then a whole lot more after baby #1 (BFing baby #2 is majorly messing with my weight loss this time), so if I can do it, anyone can.

I agree with replacing things (I do love my Cheez-Its) with healthier choices. Greek yogurt is an awesome staple. String cheese is also good :)

As far as sweets, I will eat all the things unless I don't keep them in the house at all. If it's not there, I cannot eat it. Every now and again I'll go get a $1 vanilla cup at Sonic or something because I don't believe in total deprivation, or if I go to a birthday party, I'll have a small piece of cake, but I can't have it at home because me + sweets =/= moderation. I just can't do sweets in the house.

It's tough with young kids to keep all those snacky things out of the house (Goldfish, anyone?), but the way I see it, if you can keep one "kid food" around that you don't care to eat, let your child snack on healthy stuff with you. My three-year-old loves yogurt and string cheese! I buy the Clif Kids bars (chocolate brownie Z-bars are great). They're decently healthy for a special treat for my son, and because they're his, I don't touch them. He only asks for them once in a blue moon, so I'm hoping he inherited my husband's ability to forgo sweets!
