Ok everyone, it's challenge time! This weeks challenge is to try a new activity. It doesn't matter if its an indoor or outdoor activity, just try something different! It could be a new piece of gym equipment or a new hiking trail that you have been wanting to try,or maybe a dance class or yoga class? It doesn't matter what,as long as its new to you  And like always share your new activity experiences with the group!

Does starting a new workout DVD count? I have one coming in the mail tomorrow. There isn't much in the way of activity I would like to do that I haven't done before. I mix it up with new routines.

I did abdominal crunches using my ab roller. 2 sets of 40. This was new for me. I'll be sore tomorrow probably.

I just got a 10# kettlebell too, my first ever. Played with it Sunday. Like the way it moves my muscles!

Can I use the new thing I tried on Sunday. I used Just Dance 4 for PS3 and had a ball dancing. Burned a lot of calories and had a good workout.

I just did the first day of Rockin' Body and loved it. I still don't think I can dance, but I can certainly move!

Great activities everyone! I didn't do any working out yesterday, but today I am going to try a new piece of gym equipment! Not sure what yet? But I'll let you know tomorrow, lol!

A friend loaned me her Hip-Hop Abs and I tried that tonight. I've never done this kind of ab workout before. I started to feel exhaustion in the muscles around minute 22 of 32. I think I'll be feeling all of this new stuff tomorrow, but I'm loving it. I think I'm kind of getting high off of it actually. I'm not sure if that is good or bad...

Yesterday at the gym I tried an arm/chest butterfly press machine? Not sure what it's really called but it was very hard for me and I am excited to keep trying it til I get better at it!

@Malia - I have no idea what it's called either, but I know what you're talking about. I haven't used weight machines in a couple of years now. In high school we had a weight room, and I took Strength Training for two semesters. My shoulder's increased in density and size so quickly I ended up with stretch marks, but they were strong!

@Holly - Have you ever tried chair aerobics? I used to teach a group on it at the Hope Center.

I tried the weight machine. Rowing was fun, but kind of easy. I liked the arm press "do-dah" (technical term). But mostly I couldn't figure out how to use most of the options.

I only just saw this today but, I think I'm doing ok. I started up walking the kids to and from school again on Monday. Right now just once, since I'm trying to get my little one to walk with me without the stroller this year. So I'm building her endurance up. lol! I also found a different Zumba instructor on Youtube and she's much more Hiphop than Latin. It's fun though and the music is current. :)

Not sure if this counts, but I took my dog and we went for a walk and explored parts of town that we haven't walked before. We were both wiped out when we were done!
