is this product for circulation/edema (swelling) in legs?

I've seen quite a few pro's on the cyclocross circuit use them. I have yet to try them.0

Yeah, it's like an air massage, supposedly. $800 or something.0

my grandma had these and I gave them to good will a couple years ago! darn it!0

They sound like a new competitor in the leg compression recovery market. NormaTec and Recovery System both make compression boots. Maybe another manufacturer is not a bad thing. These systems are expensive.0

WTF? I've never heard of these, nor do I think the average cyclist would need such a thing. Certainly not worth the money IMO.0

I had those when I had my surgery. Seems just a tad excessive for regular use.0

Looks a lot like the lymphadema pump my mom had, albeit much, much cheaper. Granted, if you're using one of these, you aren't in danger of having severe nerve damage if the pumping action isn't precise.
Medically, these are used as a replacement for massage: The chambers fill and deflate in succession, squeezing the legs and pumping fluid out of them. Personally, I'd opt for the other, much cheaper tool she'd use to reduce fluid: The Stick.0 -
I would take a sexy guy massaging my legs and feeding me grapes over the squeezers..... But the squeezers are a close second0

I have an old pic of Levi Leipheimer with these on. For the life of me I could not figure out what they were. So the pro's have been experimenting with these for a while now.0
