I'm posting this as I drank 2-regular sodas yesterday (@32oz total).... which is totally not me. I tend to drink water, mix ins or bigelow's cranberry/apple drink (delish). I am highly addicted to caffeine. To the point that I take a caffeine pill to get me thru the day. I don't drink coffee..... I cannot stand the taste. I am not toooo concerned with the caffeine intake. My pill is equivalent to one cup of coffee. What I am concerned about is the soda. BOY..... are they calling my name again.

So, I am putting this out there for today... I want to drink all water, mix ins or bigelow cranberry/apple drink. I do NOT want soda at all. I'd switch to diet, but I cannot stand diet colas. They give me an instant headache.

I had soda yesterday, too! I hadn't had soda in a few weeks, which is sadly a long time for me. Yesterday morning, though, my fiance and I were at Target and saw Dr. Pepper made with sugar. He's been telling me for YEARS how much better it is. I couldn't resist.

I had one twelve ounce bottle. Thankfully, there were only four in the package, so I'll let him drink "my" other one. It was good, but man oh man if that doesn't make you crave more soda.

Today is coffee and water. Maybe a glass of spicy V8 after I walk home from work.

I accept this challenge ! I only drink diet pop , but I drink 2-3 everyday. And I drink one double coffee daily. So I will give up both with you today. Water or caffeine free tea only today. Cheers to us :drinker:

Thankfully soda was one of the first things I cut out when I started. The amount of sugar you consume is just amazing and I can just find so much more to do with those 300cal. That's not to say that I don't drink soda from time to time but I try to treat it like a treat and only have it on occasion, once a week but i'm working on it (I don't drink alcohol so I use the once a week rule for soda). I have a 24 pack of Dr Peper in the kitchen and its been their for about the past 40days and still is as little less then half full. In the past that thing wouldn't have lasted the week.

I good reminder you can do for yourself is to take an empty soda bottle and fill it with the equivalent amount of sugar you consume when drinking the bottle. It's a good deterrent.

I stay away from the diet soda, ok here i'm a hypocrite and i've broken my rule a few times. In general I try to stay away from anything with the word diet on it. If it has the word or the space on packaging to include the word diet then its probably something you don't want to be consuming. The sugar substitutes are just so sweet the seem to deaden my taste for what sweet is. When i do let myself I usually pick up something made with cane sugar. So much better. I've noticed over time that I'm more sensitive to sweetness now.

I just drink water everyday with my trusty water bottle by my side. I just keep it filled with ice and find I don't need any additives.

If you want to mix things up, try tossing some lemon wedges, Orange slices, or frozen berries into your water bottle. Ccumber, too. Yum.

I only drink decaf iced tea I make myself without sugar in it. I am a Dr. Pepper fanatic and it's the only soda I like. I don't buy it anymore, and have also been trying not to order it at restaurants the 3 times a year we get to go out to eat. I carry my tea EVERYWHERE I go, so it's not tempting to buy the Dr. Pepper!

I hear everyone on the soda thing, especially Dr. Pepper. I gave up soda eleven weeks ago. It is still a struggle for me to stay away from it. I know I can't drink just one right now. Don't know if I ever will. I have given it up so many times in the past and tried to have "just one". I can't seem to do it. So I take your challenge and will not drink soda today. I will only drink water and my almond milk. I have a new glass water bottle and I like the taste of water better in it.
