                    Hey everyone..
Just like you, I've been inspired after watching Joe's Docudrama and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. When it comes to juicing, by my estimation, roughly 79% of nutrients are extracted from the fruits/veggies. But, what about the pulp?
There are still nutritionally viable content in the pulp (nutrients/fiber/etc.). What I about this... instead of tossing the pulp because we believe it has no further use, instead, coming up with options to repurpose it?
Here's what I propose:
Come up with ideas to reconstitute the pulp instead of using it as trash fodder or compost.
Some of mine:
I usually juice with the following ingredients:
- Cucumber
- Zucchini
- Carrots
- Kale
- Green Apple
- Turmeric Root
- Ginger Root
- Tomatoes
- Celery
Now, looking at my list, I see some very good filler ingredients for:
- Turkey Meatballs (look up Jessica Alba's recipe on marthastewart.com)
- Turkey Meatloaf
- Egg White Scramble
- Veggie Frittata
- Chicken soup
- Vegetable Stew
These are just a few ideas. I know that while most are sticking to their "Juice Fast", but at some point, you're going to have to reintegrate a healthy diet.
So if you don't mind, can you please offer up some helpful ideas to repurpose the pulp so it doesn't end up as chicken feed? I believe the responsible thing to do is extract 100% of the benefits of the vegetables, especially since this fasting plan can be very expensive!

Does anyone know if you can freeze the pulp to use AFTER the fast?
I would love to incorporate it into soups and other goodies, but we are fasting - right?
I'm sure I can find it on the interweb somewhere, but any info would be helpful.
Right now I just mix it with meat chunks and give to my dogs (green drink pulp).

I vacuum seal mine, and it transitions really good. I'm sure if you put it in a sealable container packed full (no air), then it should last a while in the freezer.0

These are all such awesome ideas and, being new to this, not something I have even thought about yet! I'll probably use the pulp in recipes for my kids. As it is I already finely chop broccoli and other veggies for their food 0 0

The way I look at it, there's still viable nutrition in the pulp, maximize it to justify the $$$.0
