Hi
I don't know if it is ok for me to post this - please nuke if not.
I'm looking for anyone in the UK who IDs as butch, femme or trans - or knows anyone who does. I realise this is a long shot as we are thin on the ground.
I admin a huge BF group on Facebook and we've just set up an offshoot UK group and it is proving really challenging to reach out and find people.
Would love to have you on my friends list and it would be great to see you in either of the Facebook groups

Thanks
I suppose - I've been thinking a lot about community. About friendship and belonging. I suppose it's like this group. it'll only be busy if we make it busy, if we take time to post.
The BFT thing - rather than wait for someone else to make the effort and then piggyback on that I want to BE the energy. I'm quite happy at the moment0 -
Most excellent! Yes, as in anything worth it;s weight, not really a pun but ok, you get out of it what you put into it and I will check in often and always willing to post an opinion, imagine that, lol. I am so happy you are happy, feels good doesn't it!!

I'm glad to see some folks fully embracing the butch/femme identity. It seems like these days, it is less than respectable to be a femme, like you can't be a real feminist if you are femme. And, too often when people see a butch woman, they assume she wants to be a man. I love to see beautiful women all across the spectrum. When I first came out 25 years ago, I would wake up in the morning and ask myself if I wanted to be butch or femme that day. I would choose a dress or suit as appropriate for my mood. Now, I'm mostly in the middle, but like to go femme for a special event. My friends all adamantly reject the butch/femme idea. I try to challenge them on the power of embracing all that we are instead of having a knee jerk reaction against taking a label. Sometimes labels are useful and sometimes they are destructive. I'm just glad to see some people don't fear those butch/femme poles. I am from Michigan, in the USA.0

I am femme, but I am constantly amazed by those that can be so fluid in their dress. As a teenager, I dabbled in being butch, but I just can't pull it off at all. . I'm with peacehawk on labels though, just BE who you are, regardless of what the standard is. All people are beautiful! (I personally think both sides are hot, just sayin')0

I'm femme. I'm in Australia though. I spent a few years trying to be "more gay" when I was a teenager but it just wasn't me. Now I practically live in dresses and embrace my femininity.0
