Intros!

Hey ladies - lets do introductions. Tell us about yourself! I find it too hard to follow who is who on the Bump boards, hopefully this is easier for other people too.

Im 32 and live in SW Ontario. DD is almost 2.5 and we're starting potty trg w her this weekend. Crazy. DS is 5 weeks. Im a high school Geography & History teacher, and I LOVE my job. I'm on mat leave for a year, so I hope to be looking and feeling awesome when I go back to work. I don't really have too many hobbies at the moment. My true passion is travelling but that's on hold for now w the 2 LOs, and mat leave also means very little $$$. I sometimes play soccer, and I also love skiing.

So tell us about you!

Hello girls! I'm 26 and FTM. So far the phrase that describes my feelings is "i'm totally and madly in love with my baby boy!" I am currently unemployed but I am looking for a FT or PT job hopefully from September onwards. Right now I have to fight my desire for sweets that has multiplied by hundred since I gave birth and loose those extra pounds quickly! Happy to be doing this with you! Xx

Hi Mommies!! I am 28 years old and a FTM. I have a baby boy who I am having so much fun with! I am a special education teacher who works with students with autism. I currently work in an elementary school but I used to work in early intervention. I am off of work until September and I hope to drop the baby weight by then.

I have really enjoying doing this so far and find you ladies super helpful and motivating... Thank you :)

Hey everyone! Im Katie, 25 (for another month), and a FTM. My girl is 3.5 weeks old. I have 3 big 60 pound lap dogs at home who cannot wait until they can lay on my lap again (c sections hurt!).

Before getting pregnant, my husband and I were really into long distance running so I cannot wait to be cleared to start working back up to that. The first thing we bought for the baby was a running stroller LOL. I work with computers even though I majored in math and secondary education. I met my husband through work 3.5 years ago and here we are now!

I have about 20 pounds still to lose to get back to my good running weight. Im not always great about tracking calories so hopefully having more people on here will help in that aspect.

    Hello!
I'm 34 and also a FTM. I am loving every minute with my baby boy! I am a special education teacher, but specialize in reading and writing, specifically with students with dyslexia. As of right now I am not planning on returning to work next fall. So I am really looking forward to being a stay at home mommy!
I have about 20lbs to go to make it back to my pre-pregnancy weight and it's killing me! I gained everything in my hips and thighs so I have absolutely no pants or shorts that fit. I'm glad a few of us branched out and are doing this together, it's really helping me stay motivated to check in every day. I don't do well without accountability, so this is good!

    Little late to the intros....

I'm 29 and a FTM with a 5 week old, beautiful daughter. I live outside of DC in Alexandria, VA. I am on maternity leave until the middle of August - I work in the local court system with prosecutors as a victim specialist - working with victims of crime. I love my job and as much as I love spending time with my baby, I'm very excited to return to work. A little more about me...I'm a gym junkie. DH proposed in 2011 and I spent a year getting my *kitten* in shape. I joined a gym and took kickboxing classes. I also do distance running - for the most part 10Ks and 10 milers although I have ran a half and a full marathon. I'm so hoping I get clearance on Monday to resume working out and I will be buying a jogging stroller next Spring when DD is old enough.

    Hi mamas!

I'm anniemore from TB. I'm 32 and now a SAHM. I was living in NYC for the past 9 years and in August I moved to Atlanta to be with my then-fiancee. We got married in September (surprised my parents with the baby news 2 days before the wedding! lol) and I finished working at the end of September to enjoy a final *vacation* before my dream job began as a mama.

I've been working non-stop for the past decade + so having come from NY my hobbies included NOT DOING ANYTHING haha and getting food and drinks with my friends, as well as a lot of downtime with my amazing border collie, Bunny.

Now that I'm the proud mama of a 6w old baby boy I am looking to get back into being more active, making new friends, exploring my new city.

I gained 33 lbs from pregnancy.. not too bad. I lost about 20 so far but the last 15 that I'd like to lose are absolutely glued to my butt and thighs. I've been on an extreme healthy eating kick for the past 3 weeks but it hasn't done a thing, I'm hoping that having group accountability will get me more motivated to exercise as well now that I've been cleared by my ob.

Otherwise, I shall be turning to you all for support in accepting my new body and size :D

    Happy to be here!

    Hi ladies!

I am LuckyNumbers both here and on The Bump. I am a small business owner living in New Mexico, and it has been interesting juggling that and my 4 1/2 week old little girl. Fortunately, I can do the majority of my work at home, but as you all know, that's not easy to do when there's a newborn in the mix!

I was already overweight when I got pregnant, but I have lost 16 of the 25 pounds I gained during pregnancy, so that's giving me some motivation. Weight loss has never been easy for me (thanks for the metabolism, Mom!), but I admittedly have never been fully committed in both the diet and exercise realms for it to have really worked. So now I am going to do it, for both myself and my family.

Hi all, I'm Megan aka yvanehtnioj on TB. FTM, Live near Sacramento and work in the political realm.

I gained 35 pounds, sure I would've gained more but I ended up with gestational diabetes so the diet slowed my weight gain. Henry was born on 5/21 weighing 6 lbs 11 oz with normal blood sugar so luckily he was not harmed by the GD. I lost 20 in the first month. I have a feeling the last 15 aren't going to lose themselves so I'm starting to get anxious about making an effort. I'm pumping 20 oz a day and supplementing the rest. not sure if pumping gives the same magical weight loss benefits as nursing does?

Unfortunately I started this pregnancy at my highest adult weight because I thought "Why lose weight when I'm just going to gain it all back when I'm pregnant?" So I have 15 pounds + another 20. At least now I know what I'm working with since there are no more babies on the horizon.

Anyway, hi everyone! I felt extra guilty about the gazillion peanut butter cookies I ate these last two days because I know my fellow May mamas can see them...so thanks for that :)

Way late to the game on this! I'm not often on MFP on the computer, and this doesn't show up on the app I have. I'm Mamarazziof3 on TB. I am 34 and my May baby was baby boy #3! I also have a four year old and a two year old. My husband and I just celebrated our ten year anniversary. Before staying home I was an elementary school teacher, and before that I was studying to be a classical musician. I live in Michigan and have just really gotten into fitness the past few years, partially to lose the baby weight, and partially because having lost my mom to heart disease at a very early age, I am trying to stay as healthy as I can. I ran my first 5k last summer, and hope to run my first 10k by next summer. (I'd like to think maybe this fall, but I'm not sure that's realistic for me.) Another future goal is to do a mini-triathlon.

My husband and I LOVE to travel, and volunteer with an organization through our church that puts on summer camps for Hungarian orphans. I also love photography and have been learning it and Photoshop when I can.

I gained 39 pounds with this pregnancy after having worked really hard after my last baby to not only lose the baby weight (I gained about the same last time), but also an additional 13 pounds. Right now I am back to the weight I was before I was pregnant with my first little guy!

I just saw this today since I'm normally on MFP on my phone app. I wish the groups showed up on there!

I'm FTM and I gained, sadly, a bit more than I would have liked during my pregnancy -- I think it was around 38 lbs by the end. But I also was 5 lbs over my normal weight (I called it my "Italy weight" since we had just come back from Italy and I had gained 5 lbs) so I was hoping to drop the baby weight and those 5 lbs (43lbs? yikes!).

I live in St. Louis, MO where I'm doing my PhD. Since I'm writing my dissertation, I opted out of teaching assignments for the fall so I won't be going back to teaching until January -- maybe. I'm considering taking the whole year off to just finish the damn dissertation.

As of yesterday I still had 22 lbs to lose. MH wants me to lose them before his sister's wedding at the end of August, but my ultimate goal is the conference I'm going to in November because I don't want to have to buy all new clothes for that!
