Anyone in the lakewood/golden area who likes to hike and would like to start a weekly/bi-weekly hiking group? Or maybe an exercise group at Red Rocks weekly?

    I know I'm a bit late on this...just started logging into MFP regularly again. I live in Southwest Denver/Lakewood/West Littleton area and would be interested in doing more hiking, maybe once or twice a month. Even though I'm a runner and have done some trail runs, I have not done much hiking so I am a bit of a novice...You can private message me if you like.

    I work Mon-Fri so would only be available on occasional Saturdays or Sundays (Saturdays after my 7:30 AM running group, Sundays I usually do a long run, but can flex things a bit if we come up with something :)

    Hello,

    So I'm a little bit outside of the area, but interested in doing some hiking on weekends. I have no problem driving to the area, as I'm already there quite a bit anyway. I'm a complete novice, but I'd love to start doing something regularly.

    How far from Lakewood are you? There are so many different places on the Front Range to hike, it would be cool to explore. I am also pretty much a novice hiker--been focusing on running (mostly road running) the past few years. Does Saturday or Sunday work better for you? I normally do long runs on Sunday mornings (training for two half marathons) but I can switch my schedule up if necessary.
