Hi everyone,
I have a beautiful 12 week old girl and am ebf. Today I discovered a large lump in my left breast. It hurt's quite a bit and am wondering if its a block milk duct. Has anyone had any experience with this and what did you do to help it?

    Hi Mel,

    That's not something I have experienced myself (although I get pretty lumpy when full!), but it does sound like it might be. I have been told by a friend who had mastitis that warm flanels on the breast (or warm showers) can help, gentle massage and feeding as often as possible. But if it doesn't go away quickly, there is any redness or you have any other fever symptoms (fever etc) then get it checked as soon as possible. You may need antibiotics.

    I get those sometimes. I either use a warm compress or massage it. It's milk in there. Well mine is at least
