Hi Runner Fives!
It's Sunday, time to boast about your running accomplishments from this last week! What did you do? What are your goals for the upcoming week?
This past week I finished Week 2 of the ZR 5 K training, and did the first day of Week 3 (I'm on a running schedule of Saturday/Monday/Thursday). Big boast of the week: actually fit in a full 5k into one of my running days! Will be working on pacing and walking less this week.
Awesome running song of this last week: Meatloaf's Paradise by the Dashboard Light.
How about you???

No running for me for the next 6 weeks. I probably should run The Walk app b/c I'll be putting in 10-15K steps/day but I'll be missing Sam and Dr. Myer for sure!
You're doing great, _thirtytwo! I don't think I hit 5 K until about Week 6 (maybe even later)!0 -
Thanks Vaugirard15! Do you like the Walk app? I haven't tried that one yet.0

I run the walk app in the background of my phone so I can listen to the story. It's different than zombie run since you have to walk so far to hear the stories at each distance you reach. It doesn't play music like zombie run, it's totally different. I'm working on getting my 5k time down. Trying to pick up the pace... I think the chases are helping me.0

I'm a little late, but yesterday I did season 1 day...5 I think and managed to jog through every song and walk briskly through the talking in between! My average pace wasn't any better but it was MUCH more consistent. I've been Jog/run/walking a 5k route for a few months 3x a week and am definitely seeing progress.0

ZR is much more interesting to me than The Walk which keeps shutting off or shutting down. You guys are doing great! The 5K app does a great job, I think, at helping to build that endurance. I'm still slow when I run but have decided I'm not going to care... at least I get out there and do it (though, not right now because I'm abroad and walking all the time-- over 15K today). Stay safe out there, Runners 5!0
