Thought I would start the day off wishing you all a Happy 4th of July. Hope you all have a wonderful day/evening if you are celebrating!!
It is too hot here to have fireworks, the Fire Alert is in full swing, and all the state parks are closed to campers, even day trippers where I am. There will be a 'laser' lighshow tonight locally, that may be interesting! I got a 45 minute very brisk walk in this morning early. The weather is good early in the morning. So all in all...'life is good' (for today ...so far anyway...who knows what tomoro holds!! lol)
So what are your plans for today/tonight??

Good afternoon all!
Things have been BAD foodwise the past couple of days. Traveling, eating out, fiance's family, all of it. I could have easily made some better choices and I just... didn't. I'll be happy if I come out of this weekend not having gained, but I don't know if that will be possible. Uff da. I also haven't gotten as many steps in as usual because we've been traveling and in cars and busy with family obligations, but hopefully today will be better. Foodwise, today is better already. Oh! And I spent some time in a pool, which was loooovely.
This evening, there's a big family BBQ with hot dogs and burgers. And hopefully some veggies? Definitely a lot of fruit. After the BBQ, we're all heading down to a spot to watch fireworks. They get a nice view of this big display without going to where the crowds are, so that's nice.
I had a bad Couch to 5k day today. Attempted to run outside. With lots of hills. It went fine for 20 minutes. And then at minute 22... well, it didn't end well. Might try again Sunday and just really really really focus on slowing down.
I also gave myself a hell of a bruise last night. Got up from the couch to walk downstairs, slipped on the floor, and fell into and broke my future in-laws' lamp. Nooooot a great way to start vacation.0 -
Evening all! Hope those celebrating this day are having a good one. Tonight I cooked a lovely new chicken recipe that even my son and husband likes so that was great! So often these days I try something new and I like it but one of them doesn't. The other night we took my son to see the 4th transformers movie at a drive in. My first time, love the low price and you can bring your own drinks and snacks and that DS was free but did not realize that movie was so long! It didnt start until the sun went down around 9 pm, we got there at 8.15pm. Got home at 12.30! Poor thing was exhausted so lesson learnt. But still happy we have a movie watching option that is way more affordable.0

Had a lovely bike ride this afternoon, but could have done without the 89 degree weather. Finely make my 10mile mark. Not much planned for today. Do some client work, eat some tasty BBQ and perhaps a 5 mile walk to the park to watch the fireworks over near the fair grounds.0

Hi all, hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th. I had my mom's truck today since she is out of town so Michael and I actually got to go out. It was really nice. We went to a local festival. They had the most beautiful fireworks. I made a lot of choices that weren't the healthiest but I'm ok with that. I'm not perfect and I'm slowly learning that. I refuse to beat myself up over the choices I made. Tomorrow is a new day.
Natasha, I absolutely loved the drive-in!! I say loved because unfortunately all of them around me have closed up. I have some wonderful memories of the drive-in.
Pat, congrats on making that 10 mile mark. I knew you could do it!0 -
Happy err...5th of July! We had a good day. Swimming followed by a party at friends. I started off just going to have a free day..no i take that back. I started off saying i was going to eat well, got there on an empty stomach and saw chips, veggies and dip and just kept going back to the table. So, i decided i going to enjoy myself and have a free day. Then i got busy helping a bit and the food i did eat started to settle and i realized hey, i am actually full now and really just mindlessly eating if i go back. So i had a plain turkey burger, no bun and half a cup of awesome tatertot casserole and i was done. I snacked on some more fruit soaked in booze later, but that was it for food. I tracked every single thing i ate. I tried to clean their kitchen because honestly i couldnt sit there and just talk afterward, my stomach hurt too bad. Im def not used to eating that much all at once any more.
Loved seeing my daughter play with sparklers although it made me a nervous wreck.0
