Hello duckies,
I am declaring that today is Motivated Wednesday. Make a list of at least three things you need to do but don't want to, then get yourself all motivated to do them. Bribe yourself with a reward if needed!
I need to catch up on laundry, clean out the fridge, and sort the recycling. My bribe is that I will spend an hour floating on the lake with a trashy novel.
Today, for me, is also "leech bite watch day," as I have an infected leech bite (seriously! How ridiculous is that?),and cellulitis on my leg! It's soooooooo hot and itchy, I've convinced myself I have the flesh eating disease so I'm watching to see if it turns black. Jim says I need to stay off the internet even though I'm pretty sure I'm a doctor now after reading all those medical wiki pages. Bwahahahahaa!

Good morning!
My three things:
1) Get back to the gym!
2) Fold my massive pile of clean laundry
3) Take out the massive amounts of recycling clogging up the front of our apartment (mostly just boxes filled with paper)
Vacation was a bit of a disaster regarding food and exercise. I logged the first couple of days and then just... stopped. I went for a run on Friday, made myself sick, and then didn't really exercise at all after that. Got back on Sunday and was sick Monday and yesterday, so I barely moved and I ate whatever was convenient (which was absolute crap) and I STILL didn't log.
Today, that all changes! I'm feeling much better and missing my healthy routine. My hip has been aching a bit, so I'm not sure how C25K will go or what to do about that (especially since I've basically been resting for a week). I'm going to try, anyway, and if things get worse I'll cut back and do something else for a while (elliptical? brave the gym pool? who knows.).
Missed you all and I'm looking forward to catching up now that I'm back in action!0 -
Ok..,my three things I need to get motivated to do are...(do we have to complete them today??lol )
1. Repack my two suitcases
2. Sort thru the stuff I brought from my parents place I had stored (photos, linen, etc...)
3. Straighten out my closet (so I can put the 'stuff' in #2 above in it! lol)
I will give myself three days to do these. My reward will be a mani/pedi!!

Today I am going to get the laundry put away while marching.
Clean the kitchen.
Get my Yoga done and go out for badminton.0 -
Ok....
1) Do my PT exercises
2) Actually go to game tonight with friends instead of finding an excuse to go home and veg. - Be social.

Yay for doing stuff! It's so easy to get overwhelmed by trying to lose weight, and I know for me, I start to isolate and stuff my nose into a book instead of doing things and then I get overwhelmed by all the undone things. So thank you all for playing today!
I've discovered some awesome summer "sweets" for when the cravings can't be ignored. A scoop of Breyers no sugar added vanilla icecream in a glass of diet root beer. Root beer float for only 80 calories! Or with NO artificial stuff--fresh blueberries in a tablespoon of heavy cream. O M G, so good. I might try this with strawberries and peaches. No sugar needed at all.
Because last week the bariatric surgeons were called into an emergency and didn't review my file, today is supposed to be the day. I think the only thing they can reject it on is whether or not I need to lose more weight first. If not, it goes to my insurance. Woohooo--can't wait to have a stomach the size of a shot glass, LOL!

I need to call my dad regarding a financial matter. Emails and texts have been put off by him. Getting critical now.
I need to take pictures of the clothes I weeded out of my closet this week so that I can post them for purchase, here and on local FB B/S/T page. Many are new with tags still on them (as I hit a huge clearance sale a while back). They range from 26/28 - 18's, I think. A few are skinny cut, so even though I thought I could cut them for capris, they aren't forgiving enough with my physique to feel comfy.
I need to return bill collector calls today instead of avoiding them.
I don't have a bribe...can't think of one I want AND can afford AND can live with... LOL0 -
Hello all! I am back at work so that means I have time to sneak on here and post more without as many typos! Woo woo!
Three things I need to do...
1. Listen to my voice mails. - I am terrible at this! They fill up constantly and I know this is SO unprofessional but the job I am in, I get a lot of sales calls and it is beyond ridiculous to weed through them. I figure if it is important, EMAIL ME! I worked in a call center for over 15 years so I HATE talking on the phone. PERIOD.
2. Get my water in. - Half way there. I know this is kind of weak, but this has been a very rough week with kiddo being sick and I just can't push too hard right now. Mostly because I am getting her crud now.
3. Finish my contractor list. - Won't really make any sense to you, but it is work related.
My reward... hmm... I will let myself play on here more after I do 1 & 3. :bigsmile:0 -
This has been a crazy busy week for me and it's only Wednesday! This is the first chance I've had to hop on here. Michael had to be at the hospital early this morning for a CT scan (to check the arteries in his liver to make sure they are staying open), pre-admission testing (for his upcoming hernia surgery) and a chest x-ray (for the anesthesiologist since he is an ex-smoker). I've been able to eat lunch and hop on the internet after getting home.
Three things I need to get done but have been putting off:
1. Laundry (seems like forever since I last did it...I mean, seriously, I'm almost out of underware, lol)
2. Do the shredding since it's starting to take over my portion of the living room
3. Get back to work on "The Courage to Heal." My therapist and I discussed some pretty heavy stuff yesterday and she suggested I read/re-read 2 particular chapters and work through the exercises.
I think my reward will be to sit and do my nails (fingers and toes) and let Michael do for himself this evening.

1. Get a normal nights sleep. I'm exhausted with a sick little one (3ish hours the past 2 nights) and working longer than normal.
2. Laundry will always be never ending so eh, I won't go there lol
New #2. I really need to dye my hair, so many gray hairs with so little time.
3. Ok so this may be TMI so I apologize but be intimate with my husband lol. Bless his heart, it's been a busy and stressful last few weeks. Sick babies does not make for a sexy momma.0 -

Today was a good day. Got my list done. Stayed home and away from food temptations. Paddled around in the water a bit. I am so not 100%... could not got for a long swim even if a school of leeches were chasing me. I've been sick for a month, though, so I guess I'll start a slow rebuild back to queen of aquasize! Heather, I hope you didn't catch your baby's pneumonia. No fun!!!
Cheers to everyone else. Good to see the moving and shaking going on.
