Time adjustments for a short course?

I ran a Half yesterday and the course was short by about .3 or .4 because the lead cyclist went the wrong way and the first chunk of the pack followed.
Because of this my time gives me a new bogus Half Marathon PR.
From the race official:
"We did our best to provide the cyclists with the tools they needed including a narrated videos of the course and course maps. We had a flagger at the corner too. We won't be adjusting times because it wasn't possible to figure out who went the right way and who went the wrong way."
Just curious... have any of you had adjustments made for this sort of thing after the fact? If so, how was it done?

No. You just don't tell people that is your PR if you did PR. I ran a 6 mile 10k once. Everyone was yelling at the RD. It was weird. But I didn't tell anyone my time0

Pretty sure all you get out of this is a medal, a funny story, and motivation to crush the next one.0

In the UK the race gets listed on the athletics results site as HMShort and it doesn't count as a PR, which is good as you can keep the record of your time and compare it to the others in the race, but you don't look like you've got a ridiculous PR that you'll never beat.0

Yeah, I'm certainly not going to count it as my Half PR. It's not like I was THAT close anyway, I figure I still wouldn't have PR'd. I would have been over my PR by a full minute or so I think.
That's a good idea about the HMShort designation. Unfortunately they aren't sure exactly how many people shorted the course. My girlfriend and everyone else >2:00 ran the full course, looks like.0 -
I ran a 10k back in January, that they had to change the course at the last minute because of flooding. When we finished I had 30 seconds of delight at my time which was a PR by over 2 minutes, then reality kicked in when I saw my GPS. The race was a 200 meters short. I had beaten my PR but I can't count it because it was not an "officially measured" course. I am still annoyed about it!:sad:0

I was warned that the 10K I was running on Thanksgiving might be short, I checked my Garmin as I approached the finish. I saw it was only 6 miles and kept running right through the 5K post-race party and down the street until I got that last .20

I had that happen for a long course -- but EVERYONE went the wrong way. The police car at the front went the wrong way and everyone followed. Was supposed to be a 5k but the timing company adjusted the results and reported them as 5541 meters. I was a little annoyed because I was on pace to run my first sub-20-minute 5k.
Here's the link to the corrected results page:

On the other hand, I remember one time reading someone's review of a half-marathon race where among many problems, one was that the course was not measured correctly and those with GPS devices said it was almost 15 miles.0
