Ladies, what is your favorite bike seat?

I know personal preference is huge but I'm just curious. I mountain bike and have so far never found one that didn't produce pain in my "soft tissue". But I'm doing a seat demo program with WTB. I tried the She Speed last week and will be trying the Deva today.

I have a great gel seat that I got off wiggle for about $90: Selle Italia Ladies Diva Gel Flow Saddle
Can't recommend it enough. Really makes endurance cycling more comfortable! :-)0 -
Most definitely this is one of those things that personal preferences are going to be all over the place. I ride a Fi'zi:k Vesta. I tried a Selle saddle but it was too spongy/soft for me. Again, my personal preference as many I know love the Selle saddles.
I suggest if you are looking to get a new saddle that you go to various bike shops and see if they have a test saddle program for women's saddles.
I ride out of a women's specific shop in Costa Mesa CA (The Unlikely Cyclist) and she has a test saddle program and sells the Selle, Terry and Fi'zi:k lines. But I have also heard good things about Specialized saddles.
Good luck.0 -
I went to my LBS & got a "saddle" fitting. Ended up with a bontrager. So far I've really liked it.0

I like the Terry Butterfly. I've also found that the amount/type of padding in my bike shorts has a huge effect on my comfort.0

To know the right saddle for you, you really need to have your 'sit bones' measured and choose accordingly!0

I had my sit bones measured by my LBS and had the measurement confirmed at another. I bought a Specialized Phenom 155mm saddle.
It's going on ebay this weekend!! :sad:0 -

I had mine measured too. Bought one that was the "right" size and still not happy with it. I think the right size is just a starting point. You still have to shop around (which is why I really like this demo program).0 -

If the LBS is worth it's salt, they should have it back off you and either refund or exchange it for you...
My LBS gave me a 60 day money back guarantee!0 -
I basically have the Specialized Areiel Expert on every single bike I own.

A saddle in the right size is VERY important. But if you feel pain anywhere when riding, you should make sure you are properly fitted to your bike. For example seat height, handlebar height, stem length, pedal and shoe placement, and squareness on the saddle are all very important for comfort and efficiency.0 -

Fizik Vesta on my roadie! Fits my behind, is light, and I can ride it all day. I used to really like the Specialized Jett, which was hard, light, and narrow, but after trying the Vesta, that's that. I do think the Jett is more attractive then the Vesta.
I love my ladies Brooks on my touring bike but it's heavy and probably best for less agressive more upright riding and I always worry about it getting wet. It does win in the style book, IMHO. I used to have a Terry Butterfly on my tourer, that I rode till it started falling apart. I found it's much more comfortable for more upright riding.0 -
If you can find someone local to test one of these unusual saddles my wife and I both recommend them! ISM Adamo saddles. We have tested and use the "Road" , "Typhoon" and "Podium". As my dear wife puts it, her lady bits never felt happier on a bike! Personally, well, I ride over 1,000 km's per month so I can tell you, they have made a big difference to my life ;-) Check out the range at http://www.ismseat.com/saddle/ They are available on Chain Reaction and Wiggle ! I would never have paid more than $50 for a saddle until I won one from Chain Reaction then I ended up buying 2 more because they are so good!0

Terry Butterfly Carbon.
I have it on both of my bikes (road and touring). It is comfortable for a variety of positions and light.
Also you can return Terry saddles after trying them out.
Biggest issue for me is bike shorts...as they age the padding get uncomforable.. I need to get better about replacing them.0
