I'm getting the sleeve on Wednesday. So nervous and completely stressed trying to get everything ready before I go in. Any tips on what to actually bring to the hospital other than myself and my insurance card?

Look back a few pages and there was a topic dealing with this. I saw loose comfy clothes, Chapstick and not much else.

    Chapstick...really?!?
Did not come on my list :ohwell: but I can always swipe my husbands in an emergency  now that I know!

If its the same here you can't drink anything after midnight the night before and nothing till after your leak test the day after surgery. I and a lot of the people that are sleeved here locally use biotene spray its a mouth moisturiser and was a godsend. You spray it in your mouth and swish it around and it makes it not dry and it has no taste or the one I had didn't have a taste. Our list also included Gas X Strips I had these however I didn't use them at all. I never had any gas pain. Best of Luck!!

Easy! Either a robe or some loose pajama pants to cover your backside. I find the pajama pants much easier with the IV you will have at first. Some non-skid slippers or sandals because you will be walking. I like my basic Birkenstocks because I can wear with out without socks depending on how warm I was. And something to read or do when you are resting between walks (if you aren't napping). I went home in what I wore to the hospital, something loose and comfortable. Everything else they provide.

I overpacked, had 2 loose fitting outfits, a kindle, chargers, chapstick, slippers. Only thing I used was the chapstick. I do recommend you have a pillow or something for the ride home to put on your abdomen to help with the pain of the bumps on the road. I had a stuffed animal that my daughter got me while I was in the hospital, it really helped during the ride home.
