Hi, I'm Zack!
I've been into archery off an on since I was very young, and have most recently been a bow hunter for the past 3 years.
I shoot a PSE Stinger 3G @ 65lb with CarbonExpress Redline shafts and Rage expandable broadheads.
Cheers! :drinker:0 -
Hello, I enjoy shooting 3d target competitions and bowhunting. My wheelbow is a Bowtech Admiral @70# and I also shoot traditional bows. I have a Black widow recurve PME 50#, a Predator Cheetah Longbow 50# and a Great Plains SR Swift recurve at 65#. My favorite varies throughout the year. I have been at it for quite a while and shoot at least 3 times a week.0

My BF and I have recurves (couldn't begin to tell you any more detail than that, they weren't new), and I think mine is a 20# draw (Yep, I'm weak!). We shoot at the local indoor archery place at least once a month, and now that the weather is getting nice, we're going to hit some of the outdoor ranges.
At the moment I'm trying to find an armguard that covers me from wrist to armpit, cuz I manage to thwack myself nearly every time, and the lil tiny guards just make the string catch at the top. Grah!0 -
I've been bow hunting for about 5 years. Started with a Horton crowwbow and graduated to a compound. This is my third year with my Hoyt Avenger. I shoot at 55lbs with Easton 500 arrows with NAP 3 blade bloodrunners.
Usually just practice in my backyard with my own target, but occasionally travel to a public shooting range about 35 minutes away. I love shooting because I always always always feel like i can improve0 -
I've been shooting for around 35 years. I started with a handmade bow that my grandfather made. I moved up to a Bear Silver Bear when I was around 7 years old. During junior high and high school I shot NFAA indoor tournaments with my best finish a second in the West Virginia state tournament. Nowadays I don't compete and mostly just hunt whitetail deer. (lean protein). I currently shoot a Quest Torrent with Easton Axis arrows tipped with Muzzy MX3 broad heads.0

Hey I will join this group I have been shooting for a long time? I used to shoot 3D tournaments when my girls were young. Lately I practice a little bit then go Deer hunting. I have ate a lot of venison over the years.
My wife wants to start shooting again so we gat a new Hoyt bow for her in January. I have been shooting a PSE for the past six years. I shoot some sort of Carbon Arrows, maybe Carbon Express. I used to shoot several thousand arrows a year now I may shoot two hundred. Maybe with getting in better shape I will start shooting more.0 -
Hey everyone, thanks for joining! I guess I should introduce myself as well. I am by far the most newb person to archery here, as far as I can tell. I started shooting on and off at my college's archery club during my first year, but scheduling conflicts kept me from continuing it until this semester. Now I'm in the class on campus. I'm shooting a 20lb draw recurve at the moment and just focusing on improving my form for now. I plan to get myself some kit as a graduation present at the end of the year, though I don't know what kind/brand of bow yet.
I've got a shooting practicum next weekend for my college's archery team's 50th anniversary, and I'm really quite nervous!0 -
Hey there!
I've been shooting for 25 years or so, since I was a very little girl. I'm a tradtional archery nut, and right now, I'm shooting a Bear Black Panther recurve. Sadly, it's tough to find spots to shoot here, but now that the weather's nicer, it will open up some options.
I don't hunt, as I don't have the time to invest in making certain I'm accurate and humane, so the only thing I pose a risk to is targets!0 -
Hello! I shoot indoor and outdoor target archery, compound and Olympic recurve. I used to shoot as a kid, but took it back up about two years ago. I've shot four competitions this year and started shooting in a league. It's been great!
Any strength training tips? I noticed when I started working my core, my draw was so much smoother. Tai chi has also been helpful for me.
Also, how do you track your time on a target range? I just got a Fitbit Zip and will be trying it outside tomorrow, shooting maybe 70-90 arrows, 6 arrow ends at about 60m - 40 m. This should be interesting. Do you count any of this as strength training? We're pulling pulling X-amount multiple times.0
