Well, one day on the day 3 Day Refresh and I managed to lose one pound. I actually do have more energy.
Working with Max on his homework now. It feels hot outside but I think we are due for storms this weekend again.
I know we don't even have near the temps that all of you have and I am glad since there is no AC in the houses here and we have 3 floors. The top floor is the worst and that is where Max spends his evenings playing XBOX.
On the other note you asked if our children have girlfriends.
Zachary in Colorado does have one, but Cory who is my unbelievable cute son, 21 yrs old, and a body builder doesn't. He got burned by his last girlfriend and I don't think he is over her yet. He really needs to meet someone who will make him smile again.

Well, this is certainly a quiet place today! I couldn't live without AC, but if the climate is cooler, I guess you don't really need it. It is hot and humid and we are having big time thunderstorms right now. I think the weekend will be rainy. Would you believe I have never played XBOX? I wouldn't know what to do! Lydia, great on the loss!
So, about girlfriends....My older son is living with his girlfriend and we are just waiting for them to get engaged. He is very happy! My younger son just can't find a girl who wants to work. He is a doctor and once they hear that, it goes south. He really is a great catch. It is hard to deal with them when they get burned. The mama bear comes out!!0 -
Here is a true story that my son wrote that I thought all of you would get a kick out of!
You wouldn't believe what happened today? I just had to write you and tell you this funny adventure Mom had today.
Waking up a little late because we were all up late last night watching Rules of Engagement and How I Met Your Mother on TV I noticed that Mom and Zoey weren't at home. I peeked out the window to see what kind of day we were going to have. The sun was shining brightly and there were no clouds anywhere. It looked like it was going to be a hot gorgeous day. When I looked at the paths around the farmers' fields though, I noticed Mom was walking Zoey back home and was listening to her music. All of a sudden I heard Zoey start barking! I tried to see why she was so excited as she was barking her high happy bark. That is when I spotted the fluffy beige rabbit running along the path about 10 yards in front of them. That must have been what Zoey had seen as well because she starts dragging Mom along as hard as she can, barking excitedly the whole time. The next thing that happens is the leash snaps and Zoey high-tails it after the bounding rabbit. Suddenly I felt my heart skip a beat. Mom starts running after Zoey yelling, “Zoey stop!” No amount of calling seemed to do any good. All Zoey seemed to care about was catching the ever allusive rabbit. Well, Zoey runs down the road as fast as she can, turns the corner, and just keeps going. By then I am out the door, grabbing a leash and a squeaky toy as well, knowing how difficult Zoey can be to find. She never comes when we call, happy to spend her free time chasing anything that moves or flies. I was really worried that Zoey might be hit by a car, or worse, one of the farm machines.
I meet Mom in front of the house where she says “I am going to get my bike so that I can chase after her better. I would never catch her otherwise as she is much faster than I ever will be.” So both of us leave going in two different directions squeaking toys and yelling for Zoey. We even try yelling, “Rocks! Tennis!” This time it didn't work. Well, Mom finally found her in the middle of the farmers field jumping and pouncing from one straw pile to another, evidently now chasing after mice. I run out to the middle of the field and we corner her. She really didn't seem to care about us, just about the mice she was after. Suddenly, Zoey seems to be gone. Where could she have gone to, she was just there? Seconds later we see a bushy tail pop right out of the hay wagging fiercely. We think she might have caught something. Sure enough, there is a mouse in her mouth. Mom puts another leash on her, makes her drop the mouse who scampers away, and really has to drag Zoey back home. Once on the road, Mom hooks her to the bike and drives off with Zoey. It seems that Zoey didn't have enough of an adventure but I can tell that Mom sure did. When we got home she sat on the couch and I had to bring her a big glass of ice water. Now we know that Zoey still can not be allowed off leash, probably ever!0
