Great thank you for this group! Tonight begins week 10 day 1 of C210K app. I have signed up for three different races in September - one 5K, one 8K and one 10K. My running group is forming a team for a 1/2 marathon for the end of October and **deep breath** I have signed up! I am pretty sure I will not be running the full 13.1 miles; I am under no illusions I am there yet - but I have to push and challenge myself, otherwise I tend to stagnate.0

OK - for me this is HUGE!! When I started logging my runs back in April I was averaging a slow 13-14 minutes a mile (walk/run combo); my first time I run a full mile without walking it all I ran it in over 12 minutes. Tonight I ran 4 miles and averaged 11 minutes a mile. Still slow in comparison to women in my 40-50 age group, but a vast improvement for me. But the main thing I was consistent - each mile was run at about the same pace.0

I'm at 22.35km, which is 13.88mi. Weee!0

I calculated how many miles I would have to do a day in order to reach my goal and it was 2.25. My immediate thought was 'oh that's easy since I am running 3-5 miles each time I run'. Back in June because I was only running 2-2.5 miles I didn't reach my goal. So this means I still get the rest days in like I need to.0

I was about to go running tonight and a monsoon hit! I didn't run Sunday due to illness and now this. I will be so far behind on my mile goal. :sad:

I deleted my tracker and tried to start again, but when you hit next it stays on the same first page. Guess it's a waiting game to see if they fix it.0

OK running experts; I have turf toe - a stress fracture on my right big toe. It developed about a month ago and I have rested it, iced it etc. But I think it is due to my running shoes since it's not improving. In fact it is now affecting distance and speed. I could only run 3.5 miles this morning and it was a slow run! I had a pair of Nikes, and ran them into the ground; I bought a pair of Adidas and soon after is when I experienced the problems. Obviously I need something that has uber cushioning on the front end! Any recommendations? Ready - GO!!0

Sorry I havent been around and committed to my goals but having some issues got my b12 tomorrow so im hoping once that hits my system I will at least be able to finish the month a bit better than it is right now looking forward to getting back to runs0

I have said this so much but I love this challenge! I was in for 50 and as of today I'm at 92.06! I can't run tomorrow because of some commitments and need a rest day. But it's making me nuts I'm so close to 100! Feeling so good about my running. If you told me a year ago I could run (non stop run!) over 5 miles in less than I hour I would have thought you were crazy.
I'm so proud of myself and everyone else who is doing the challenge - great job everyone!!!0 -
At 27.8 miles for August and looking forward to my personal challenge of 60 miles (15 more than I've ever done in a month) in September! :happy:0
