Ok Ladies, Sorry guys didn't think this would interest you. When I started my weight loss journey 3 1/2 years ago, I was wearing a D cup bra however I used to use 2 bra extensions to fasten the darn thing. Since then I started wearing Aah Bra's just because they gave more and were more comfortable for my girth. Today I decided to try on a bra that I wore back at the beginning on my journey. ( I quit wearing because to became to uncomfortable and it is still like new by the way. ) and I fit very nicely into a 40 D.
I am doing the happy dance.

Congratulations on your milestone Asia. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
I've never heard of Aah Bras. What are they like? Would you recommend them? Where can you buy them? Thanks

I bought them off the shopping channel. They are made out of one piece of material, can't remember what, but they are like a spandex type material. I wore them for the past 3 years, they are Ok depending on your build. They have no underwire, they are comfortable but may not be enough support for some people.

Went from 42DD to 36B. I will say the push-up bras help smooth out the wrinkled boobies.

Hmmm,,,yes the wrinkles. I haven't shopped for bras yet,,just sport bras. I am too scared to pay a fortune for a good bra just to undergrow it in a month or two. But today I was very aware of the concertina wrinkles. I experienced them once before when I had lost about 20kg (44lb),,but as yet had not noticed it. However at nearly 40kg down my body has decided there is not more room for shrinkage of skin. Thinking I might have to invest in some smoothing apparatus. :-)

I just had surgery 2 weeks ago and wore a 44/46 DD bra. They are starting to get loose now. I can't wait for the day to walk into a "regular" store and and buy new ones that are cute and not so ugly!

Awesome! So far, I have gone from a 44 C to a 38 D. Don't ask me how I went up a cup size, but after having a shape where the stomach came through the door first, it's thrilling to look like a girl!!

    Yay!

Just a tip for you ladies -

This weekend I went to the outlets, and bought 3 x $6.99 underwire bras. They are the "Sweet Nothings" by Maidenform. They are super cheap, and they won't last forever, and I usually wouldn't advocate spending money on clothes as you are whittling down, but hear me out... If you are chesty, nothing makes you look thinner than having a well-fitting bra. If you are wearing an old 42DD, and you should now be in a 38D, you are probably sagging or drooping something fierce in the front, and accentuating what back rolls you may have behind you. Also, a well fitting bra can hide the fact that your skin is a little more crepe-y than it used to be, because the girls get pushed together and the skin is more taut.

Take my advice. Go to the store, and try on some bras. Walmart sells Sweet Nothings for $9 each. They are worth it. You will literally look 10 lbs slimmer in an instant.

Ladies: I am hearing what you are all saying. The girls just are not the same anymore. :noway:
Katematt313 Thanks for the heads up, when I put my better fitting bra on , it made a huge difference in the mirror, the girls were sitting where they should be.

I guess this is the trade off for better health. Not sure if insurance will cover a breast surgery, will worry about that when I get closer to goal.

Thanks for all your responses. :flowerforyou:

Sport bras were the only kind that fit me comfortably and weren't expensive as I ballooned in my weight. I have to throw them out as they are way too big and provide no support anymore. Not to mention they are ugly.

I can't wait to get back into pretty and lacy colored bras again. I don't want to spend a lot of money at the moment as I'll only be needing new ones again in a few months so I'll be checking out bras soon. Maidenform has always been a good brand and I need support now I have to roll them up and tuck them in the bra. hahahaha
  • Just sayin', most guys like boob talk.

Choppy: Thanks for the heads up, I don't know what I was thinking. Oh yeah I remember now, I didn't think guys would be into "big" chick boob talk.

I am hoping that I don't get smaller! I have never been bigger than 38C, I would love to take the fat from my arms and pad the boobs! But alas that won't happen!
