It just hit me...

I would always see people on MFP or instagram saying how when they would fit in to sizes that they haven't been in in years they would break down crying. I went to Old Navy yesterday with my husband just to see if there was anything I liked. I picked up some jeans to try on and took myself to the fitting room. To my surprise I didn't fit the size18 or 16. So my husband told me to grab a size 16 and 14. The size 16 and still too big and the 14 fit just right. After coming home I realized the size 14 had a little bit of room around the thighs, and I knew that in a couple of weeks they would no longer fit. So my husband said "Alright well go tomorrow and change those for a size 12" Fast forward to this morning at 6:30 in the morning sitting on the couch looking at old of me as the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding. And it just hit me...and I started to cry. I haven't fit into a size 12 since jr. high. After being with my husband for a total of 10 years, yesterday was the first time I let my husband know what size I wear. I've gone from a size 26 to a size 12, and from a 46F bra to a 42DD. Now I understand why everyone cries...

:-) Let is wash over you,,,your achievement is no little feat. Your hard work has paid off.
Do you ever look in the mirror OR walk past a window and question if that was really you?
I do all of the time. I am not sure I will ever get used to this new reflection.

    That's great, Tammy!

We never know when feelings will hit. I have a chart of my weight going back to 1999, and I am currently challenging my low weight from 2004. I think of how old my kids were then, and how they have never seen me this small. The last time I was this weight, my son was 6 and my daughter 3. That gave me a bit of a moment. Ten more pounds and I'll be the weight when my daughter was born.

What a GREAT revelation for you. I hope to one day be able to have this type of moment. Isn't it funny as you know you're losing the weight, but sometimes don't really realize it until shopping for jeans.

CONGRATULATIONS AND YOU CRY ALL THE TEARS OF HAPPINESS YOU NEED TO. REMEMBER - YOU DID IT!!!!!
