Has anyone ever used the fitbit app to track?

I got my fitbit quite a while into already using mfp, but lately have been trying to simplify all aspects of my life and started wondering- why am I not just using the fitbit app, why use 2? Any thoughts? Anyone have any experience with tracking food on the fitbit app? Pros/cons?

The food database on FitBit is not near as extensive as the one on MFP. For me, that was a deal breaker because I'm lazy and don't want to have to enter in everything I eat. (I like being able to choose it from a list.) Plus, I'm not a huge fan of the FitBit food log layout.0

My simplification was to let MFP do all the food tracking and Fitbit to coordinate all the exercise tracking then give that information back to MFP. MFP serves as my main site. I find MFP to be easiest to enter food/recipes and several of the apps I use, including Fitbit, link very well with it. I think either Fitbit or Digifit are better as estimating calories used but since they sync with MFP that works well for me. I like the "Friends" feature of Fitbit and have generally tried to add "friends" who were at or above my general walking level and use their stats as an extra way to motivate myself.0

I actually added Mapmyfitness to my mix of stuff and I like all three for different reasons.
I agree that MFP is better for food etc. It also consolidates data well.
My FifBit doesn't sink with my phone so I need to use my laptop anyway.0 -
Thanks for the feedback!0
