Fancy a walk? 5 day challenge

I am in dire need of a kick up the *kitten* as I am letting my team down badly so figured a short achievable challenge might help!

How about trying to increase your exercise this week just by walking? Or running if you like.

Post here Mon to Fri what you've achieved, maybe try to increase each day.
Aim for a minimum of a mile each day and see what you can do over the week.

Post what you've walked/run that day and your total so far, Mon to Fri.

Now, where's that dog......:smile:

    My husband and I started trying to do 3 miles a day. So far we are on track! We are a little sore after our first week, but feeling pretty good.

    I'm game. I sure need to move more. I got one of those activity trackers recently and the main thing it has shown me is that I am extraordinarily sedentary and that I'm not getting enough sleep. I already knew that before I got the tracker; but I didn't realize just how much. I'm taking an incremental approach to all of this and just want to do a bit more than I'm currently doing. So the bar is very very low at the moment. I plan to measure mine in steps; and my walks will be at night when it's cooler.

    Tonight I walked 45 minutes at a brisk pace- I guess I will have to map it out to see miles.

    Usually I walk around 30 minutes.

    I like this challenge!!! walking is my main form of exercise--
    Monday--3.42 miles (counted from my steps thoughout the day)

    I just did mine based on a 20 minute mile (3 miles per hour).
    I have mapped it before tho so I know the distance is about right.

    Im dreading the weekend as I'm going out to a fancy Italian restaurant with friends and out for cocktails afterwards.So not good for losing weight

    Hey - I'm in....I've stopped taking the Bus and now do 20min walk in the morning and another 20mins in the evening. I'm also planning on doing 30mins on the machines in my lunch break as well as gym classes in the week. I will record my walking and lunch time workout here!!!! to make sure I actually do it:wink:

    Total 10 miles
    Not amazing but OK, I'm never gonna walk much further than that. Could prob have got another 2.5 on top but there you go!
