Feeling the baby move??

Ok, I don't want to get all excited about gas soo... when you feel the baby move (at 19 weeks so before it's obvious that it's the baby), can you assume that any weird feeling super low on your abdomen is the baby? A couple times before (last week and the week before) I felt a couple little pokes that felt like they came from the inside. Now, it feels more like just a twitch, more on the outside, so I'm wondering if that's the baby or just twitches? Anyone care to share what they thought it felt like?

At first for me, I definitely figured it was gas or just digestion. But when I felt that "bubble pop" kind of feeling down there, and then didn't fart any time later (hahaha), I knew it was baby then! Plus, my confirmation was one day when I hadn't eaten anything else and felt the "pop" feeling, and I knew it couldn't be digestions since I hadn't eaten yet. Soon enough you'll feel something and just KNOW it wasn't gas or digestion. And if not, it doesn't really matter if you made it up, because in a couple weeks you'll feel baby kicking/punching/kneeing you all the time!0

It is a bit like a twitch. Kind of like when you get those uncontrollable eye twitches. Only it should be around/side of the belly button area, maybe sometimes in the pelvic area. That's what it feels like for me.
Hiccups (with my first pregnancy) felt like someone was constantly flicking me in my pelvis.
Right now it's more like twitches, but later on as baby get's bigger, you get like a rolling feeling.0 -
all of the above now for me - although earlier on it felt a bit like there was a butterfly inside me  This is my first so it was hard to know initially but you quickly realise that it is a completely different feeling to anything you've known before. And 19/20 weeks is about the time that I started to notice the movement. And I tend to notice the movement in a number of different areas - I think my little one will take after my husband and never be able to sit still!!0

Exactly this for me. Now at 33 weeks, it feels like someone is pushed their hand against my ribs, and it's pretty dang uncomfortable. I still get some twitches down low where the hands are though :blushing:0 -
For my first, I didn't feel baby move til like 22 weeks. This time around I'm 18 weeks & have felt flutter kicks. Mostly when I lay down at night. It almost feels like gas bubbles, but a little different. Just tiny movement here & there.0

Thanks for the responses! I'm definitely feeling her move now. I've noticed after lunch I'll feel it and at night when I'm relaxing in my recliner. Last Thursday I was laying in the chair and could actually feel it on the outside so I went over to hubby and he got to feel her kick!0
