One to put things in perspective for all you long distance runners:
Ex Southampton football (soccer) player Francis Benali completed a charity run at the weekend that saw him run 1,000 miles in just 21 days - meaning he ran almost a double marathon every day for 3 weeks!

Lot of miles. I'd be happy if I could run that many in a year. (Won't make it in 2014, but possibly in 2015)0

Shame about the total money raised though, you would have thought with an accomplishment like that, that his fellow footballers could have coughed up a bit more!!

I watched this documentary, "Running The Sahara"... three guys ran 4300 miles across the desert in 111 days... amazing what some people can do....0
