Using Fitbit with my polar hrm how do you combine them?

Hi! I just got a Fitbit flex but I still want to use my Polar Ft60 HRM. I know some people use them both and I am curious as to what workouts they choose the hrm over the fitbit. I am currently running and I am about to start the T25 workouts. However, I also do zumba, yoga and walking.
Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I have a Polar H7 that I use when I use Digifit app. I have the Fitbit, MFP and Digifit tied together and let them figure out the details. Seems to work pretty well. You can also enter the calories burned manually on MFP. Some folks seem to find it easier to take the Fitbit off when they go to the gym and are using an HRM - that is what I do when I am mainly going to be lifting weights or doing something other than walking/running. I generally just take a short break between, say, lifting weights and running a C25K and put the Fitbit back on when I do the C25K. I just want the counts to be close and this seems to work for me.0

Thanks! so far I have been manually entering the workouts through mfp...even running. Then I let the FB calculate the rest of my everyday activities... I have wondered if I shouldn't just calculate my TDEE and not log anything for workouts but enable the neg settings so I wont eat too much for days I don't actually get to do the workouts I expected to do. What are everyones thoughts? MFP is set to lightly active but the fb usually adds calories to my day in addition to my workout calories I manually entered. So this means I am more active than I thought?0
