#100hoursin100Days STARTS TODAY!!

Hey everybody!

Welcome aboard:-) I am truly excited to start this 100 day journey with you. After speaking with quite a few of my mfp friends over the last few months, they have inspired me to create a whole new challenge. This is kind of the "everybody" challenge as the emphasis is on any kind of fitness so that you get moving.

I know I was going to post more info yesterday but my Monday didn't start out so good. Here's to another day :-) Some of you probably received an invite (from which seemed like out of the blue) but I decided to reach out regardless. I usually keep my challenges somewhat small but my worry here (as it is always) is consistency. I would like a strong group into the end!!! I mean New Year's Day is a pretty awesome time to reflect on how a whole year of fitness went, especially the last 100 days :-D

I tried to make enough rules so that there is some structure. A few of you already seemed overwhelmed and I don't blame you. It is a commitment! I've joined challenges and then ducked out because I couldn't keep up with the threads. Let me say this, focus on YOU. The boards are meant as a support system. If you need to message me directly instead to get yourself going, then I don't mind one bit. There are similar challenges to this one but I tried to organize it in a way that made sense to me. This is my perspective on healthy living and the best way that has worked for me during my weight loss journey. I have been on this site for almost 5 years and it's this last time around that things are finally getting on track. I stopped worrying so much about the scale, food, and other people. Instead, I knew exercise needed to be a priority. Instead of throwing in the towel because I didn't make it 5 times that week to my zumba class, I started taking small steps (literally by just walking).

It's my hope that all of you get something out of this! Once upon a time, I was very active on the boards but that did not translate to actual results. I got so frustrated that the scale never continued to go down. DO NOT EXPECT IMMEDIATE RESULTS. Change can be slow and there will be ups and downs on this journey. Hopefully, #100hoursin100days can jumpstart wherever you are at right now. HANG IN THERE <3

Sal (salomesotille) already started an Introduction topic. You can continue to post there or down below. I won't be updating the topics at the same time every week but I promise I will always release the information at the start of every month.

I'm so excited to get going!!

Hey Caitlin, Lets do this!!! I'm excited for this challenge. Just remember to kick me in the *kitten* if I need it lol!
  • I am also ready to take on the challenge but I do have a couple questions. Can I start out just walking everyday for an hour? Also do we just log our exercise into MFP so that you can see that we did an hour of exercise?

Yes, absolutely! Anything counts! You can log it on MFP. I'm gonna be making a post for each month, possibly week I think. You just need to post at least once a week so I know you are still in the challenge (either mfp or instagram)

    Ok great! :-)
  • Yesterday discovered I have bone spurs under my knee cap. Received cortisone shots ;(I will most likely be breaking my "hour" into 2-3 sessions per day. Today I managed 60 mins on the bike. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as good.

Im sorry to hear that! What activity is recommended? I hope it's a fast recovery

1 hour is a lot! Way to go :-)
  • I was not given restrictions. Cortisone injection was given. The only other option is to scrape them out. If the cortisone continue to work then no need at this point. Running is out of question. I have an elliptical and my husband bought a trainer so I can use my outdoor bike, indoors. It's a great thing ;) happy Wednesday

Thanks for creating this challenge and encouraging us all!

100 hour is 100 days sounds overwhelming at times. But I think of what changes I can make to my body in that time and it gets me excited.

    Good luck everyone!
