I want to know what rewards you have planned for yourself then you've lost a certain amount of weight.

    I'll start

When I lose a total of 40 lbs, I'm going to pierce my belly button. I've wanted to ever since I was a teen and actually had a pretty belly. Now if I can get the pretty belly back I'll appreciate it to the fullest!

When I hit my first goal of 185, I'm letting myself get another tattoo.
I've been wanting it for a while, but I'm getting it on my thigh, so it's good motivation to actually be able to show it off. Because I know at this point, if I got it now, I probably would never show it to anybody.

    Hmm, good question.
You know, I'm not really sure what I will do ...keep living? :-)
I do like the idea of have something to celebrate but I'm not sure what it will be. I have tended to have various different 'Y's along the way for smaller milestones. Mostly it was buying things, I bought a heart-rate monitor when I lost 10kg, and bought various different phone apps or music that I wanted for other milestones, more recently I've been celebrating with clothes, I also bought new running shoes at 20kg lost.

I will have to see what I really want closer to the time, maybe a trip overseas somewhere.

When I get to 20%BF I'm going to look into *gasp* a boob lift. I'm beginning to get depressed at them turning into deflated saggy bits. I don't want them any bigger I actually like that they've shrunk, I just don't want them hovering around my navel forever.

When I get to my ultimate goal I am getting the thigh tattoo I've wanted for ages. It'll be my first. Otherwise I don't have any short term goals/rewards, just to live as healthy as possible each day which will, in turn, be a reward in itself.

When I lose 7 more lbs (putting me at 150, a loss of 38 lbs), I'm getting a quarter sleeve tattoo. A hot air balloon/wizard of oz theme :)
  • When I reach my goal weight of 145 I will get my breasts done and stop wearing all male clothing

Another thing I just decided for my goal. When I reach 150, I'm going to go on a crazy shopping spree! I'm 34 pounds away from it now, but for those of you who are close and planning on rocking some girly wear- these are the sites that make me drool

Ink! I will be getting a gorgeous piece that starts on my right shoulder blade and wraps around to become a half-sleeve, ending just above my elbow. Just a little over 30 lbs. to go!

Although, I have to say I'm uncomfortable with the concept of "goal weight" because it implies before and after components to this journey. I know for me that the only before and after is BEFORE: not eating well and not exercising, and AFTER: from the time I started eating well and exercising until I can't do either anymore (i.e., am six feet under).

I definitely agree with what you're saying. The changes don't stop at the goal. I know for me, weight loss never worked because I always looked at it as a temporary journey that would end when I got to the weight I wanted. Now I know it's a lifestyle change. I look at food in a whole new light and appreciate it much more now that I understand it better.
