fitbit zip wont count steps..help

hi all,
i got my fitbit zip yesterday,it is showing calories burnt but no steps or miles. i have taken the battery out and put it in again but still. am i doing something wrong?:noway: :

You are tapping it to move from one screen to another?
You have done an initial sync so the device has your stats in order to compute miles and calories from steps?
Yes, these seem like obvious questions, but then again the number of people that actually read directions because they got it all figured out already is small.0 -
yes, it actually registered 1035 steps, then it stopped working. the whole of this morning it has counted zero even though i have been wearing it and walking0

Have you asked on Fitbit's forums, since it is their product after all, and more users there with experience, plus moderators?
