We've just got our back and after initially have no plans whatsoever to get one, I am so so glad we did. Our photographs were great but the video just captured something else...
Just a thought for all you brides to be

I wasn't planning on hiring a videographer either, but then I read a story like the link you posted, and polled my married girlfriends. Every one who got a video said it was so worth it. I found someone in my area who is reasonably priced, and he's going to give us a "documentary edit," which is basically his raw footage with any shots of his feet or adjusting the camera removed, but it'll be like 4 hours of video. My fiance thinks so many edited wedding videos out there are too cheesy, so we're going to either get one of our video editor friends to put together a 3 - 4 minute edit ourselves. Since my wedding isn't til September 2015 I go back and forth on if the video is necessary or not, of if we should've put the money toward something else - but I think it will make me really happy in the end.0

Aww thats great!
My video probably is a bit cheesy but I loved the ones he had on his website http://lenikweddingcinematography.co.uk/cinematic-portfolio/
We did look at this company originally, will this be similar to what you'll do? http://www.shoot-it-yourself.co.uk/
Either way it's so great to have the moving memories, they caught moments we didn't see & the day passed in such a blur, so it was great to relive.0 -

Yay! That's what ultimately convinced me - we are not going to see most of what our guests are up to, and the day will be over like that *snap*.
We're going with http://finalframe.com/wedding-portfolio/ ... Here's a sample of the "documentary edit": https://player.vimeo.com/video/82352760

PS - Just checked out your links - don't seem cheesy at all, tbh. The quality is outstanding! And because I'm an American, I find the accents charming.0
